Wii Party U review. Shop CGR shirts & mugs! Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Wii Party U for the Nintendo Wii U developed by Nd Cube and Nintendo and published by Nintendo. One of the Wii's most popular party games is back for another round on the Wii U! Wii Party U is a minigame collection that includes traditional board games a la Mario Party, as well as a variety of standalone minigames. It's a game focused entirely on multiplayer and bringing back the magic of living room multiplayer. There are more than 80 minigames in total, using both the Wii Remote and the Wii U's GamePad. Wii Party U is at its best when embracing the Wii U's trademark concept of "asymmetrical gameplay," offering different experiences for different players with different controllers. Crazy, huh? Some of the game's best moments come from its GamePad-only minigames, some of which ignore the television altogether and have two players on either end of the controller as if it were a foosball table. That's pretty rad. Wii Party U is a single and multiplayer party game exclusively on the Wii U. This video review features video gameplay footage of Wii Party U for the Nintendo Wii U and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
