6037 STORY: Prince Harry touched down in Antarctica on Friday (November 22) ahead of a planned 200-mile trek to the South Pole. Prince Harry, who could be seen sharing a meal with this team mates as they chatted, has taken on the challenge alongside wounded servicemen and women. The group arrived at Novolazarevskaya Station earlier in the day where Prince Harry will acclimatise to the freezing conditions. The fourth in line to the British throne is a patron of the Walking With The Wounded charity, a UK based charity which funds both the re-training and re-education of wounded servicemen and women with the aim of helping them find long term employment after they have left the Armed Forces. The expedition to the South Pole will begin from 87 degrees south on 30th November, with the teams hoping to reach the geographic South Pole by 16th December.
