French police are holding a man in connection with shootings in Paris earlier this week, according to sources at the prosecutor’s office.The detainee reportedly has a “strong resemblance” to the shooter, but – the sources say – it is too early to determine whether he is definitely the man being sought.He was picked up at 19:05 (CET) in a carpark in Bois-Colombes, a suburb north-west of Paris.A manhunt was launched after an armed man entered the offices of newspaper Liberation on Monday, November 18 and opened fire, critically injuring one personThe gunman then fired shots outside the headquarters of bank Société Générale, before hijacking a car that took him to the Champs-Élysées.The French authorities believe the same man also broke into the offices of television channel BFM on November 15, carrying a gun and making threats to employees.
