Kiyoshi Kurosawa, director of Seventh Code , says he was "very surprised" to win the best director and technical contribution awards at the Rome Film Festival on Sunday. One person is coming to the defense of Alec Baldwin: his daughter Ireland! The actor has been roundly criticized for his most recent display of anger,in which he chased a photographer and cursed him.MSNBC has since suspended his late-night talk show for two weeks and there are rumors it could be pulled entirely, but Ireland took to Twitter and addressed the accusations about her father:"My dad is far from a homophobe or racist," she tweeted. "For someone who has anger issues,my dad has grown tremendously."Ireland's Twitter posts were particularly poignant because of Alec's infamous voicemail to her in 2007, when he called the then-11-year-old a "rude, thoughtless little pig." Long time no see! Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield made a rare public appearance on Saturday, Nov. 16. The lovebirds turned up at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, Calif., where they joined their Amazing Spider-Man 2 costar Jamie Foxx on the red carpet. Dating since 2011, neither Stone nor Garfield has said much about their relationship in the press. "She's a great gal, and, as we all know, a singular talent, like a completely unique, singular talent. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be released in 2D and 3D on May 2, 2014. Emile Hirsch is a crappy choice to play John Belushi in the recently announced biopic -- at least according to Belushi's brother Jim, who gave his fully biased opinion on who should get the gig. Jim Belushi was at LAX when he said he likes Emile as an actor -- just not as an actor playing the late great Belushi ... and instead thought Robert Belushi should play him. Of course, Robert Belushi is Jim's son, so it's hardly an objective choice on his part. But he did offer a couple of good reasons why 33-year-old Robert could do it-- including the whole blood line thing.
