ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge lent their support to London Poppy Day by riding a vintage Routemaster bus and met with poppy sellers at a London Tube station. Prince William and Catherine first welcomed Royal British Legion supporters and members of the armed forces to Kensington Palace before boarding an iconic 1960s London bus. They then took a short trip to Kensington High Street where they surprised members of the public, who took photographs and craned their necks to catch a glimpse of the couple. Some 2,000 uniformed personnel, veterans and their supporters are taking to London's streets for the Royal British Legion (RBL) appeal, ahead of Remembrance Sunday (November 10). They are hoping to raise 1 million GBP for forces charities in a single day in the capital.
