Protesters in various cities across the country are participating in sit-ins to protest against Wall Street financial practices and government corruption..Perfect fodder for a guy like Ken Levine. The head of Irrational Games is known for injecting political discourse into his games and BioShock is a prime example. In an interview with the Washington Post, Levine spoke about BioShock Infinite and how it is being influence by the Occupy Wall Street protesters..In the game, there is a conflict between the Founders of Colombia, the floating city in the Sky, and communist turned militant Vox Populi. The rebellion group was original based on a German student movement, Levine sees parallels to what is happening as the Occupy Wall Street movement spreads..He called the evolution of extremism fascinating, saying "They start in a peaceful, understandable place and end up somewhere very different." He went on to say that watching the movement has helped him craft the journey of the Vox Populi in Infinite. But he did mention he would hate to see the real movement follow what his fictional one will, stating, "I hope the real-life movements don't head to the same place though. I'm not going anywhere nice, I'll tell you that much.".Based off the gruesome showdowns in the original BioShock, I'm sure we can get more of the same in Infinite. I'll bring you more details on BioShock right here on Clevver Games so make sure to subscribe to not miss any updates. I'm Andrea Rene and thanks for watching.
