On May 14, the 56th Eurovision Song Contest begins, and Germany’s contestant and titleholder Lena Meyer-Landrut will face the challengers in Düsseldorf. The state capital of North-Rhine-Westphalia will be staging the competition at a cost of 8 million Euros.The city is hoping for an image boost and increased tourism.
