Millionairo - Nose Bleed Rough Edit

I have just finished a rough, first, edit; normally it would be 1 of about 3. I think this time it will probably 4 or 5. My 1st edit tells me if I have my shots and how I get them to work: Beginning, middle and end that sorta thing - if there is nothing of any merit in the first edit then you give up or start again.

Our first edit has:

Loads of merit. The scene, light, blah is all good, the image is cool I think.

The idea of making visual loops of the music absolutely works and suits the structure of the song perfickly - it requires some work but is well worth the effort.

Most of the shots and angles were also spot on.

What is lacking:

Drums - I have no drums from the main cam - ergo no drums really to put in the vid. I wonder if Steve can see where this is going? Photo of a drum machine or re-shoot?

Height - ahem..I would like some of my shots better framed. I didn't equate variable heights into anything. The whole edit will be smoother if we take some measurements, mark some points and stand on boxes.

Technically we are pretty good, apart from:

I have no audio on the main cam which has made it a bit of a bugger syncing even on a 1st rough edit. My edit will be 10X simpler with audio on all my shots.

Because of the rapid change in colour/light from the projection on close-up shots, there is a slight blurring which I may or may not be able to improve by re-doing.

Don't like my medium shots at all - just don't like 'em.

Oh, and the stuff on the second cam is 4:3 aspect ratio, the main cam 16:9 as will be the final edit so I need to change the 2nd cam to 16:9

I just spoke with the Jimmer and told him all this and that I pretty much want to shoot again, as for me, it would be the difference between giving you a video that looks like a good idea but-doesn't-quite-do-it or giving you a nailed-on vid that we all are happy with.

I will try to master a copy of the 1st edit to a file size that I can upload to my channel and hopefully you will get a some idea of where it is going and what is lacking and why I want to shoot again - I'm still available next Tuesday, maybe people can try and figure something out? Be aware you are looking at what is effectively your video in rawest demo form and structure-wise about 10% of what it will be - it doesn't make sense to do loads more for the moment if we are going to shoot more stuff - the idea is that you get the idea.
