-11 but the actual acts did not hit the state until 10pm. So you have restless students and faculty and a delayed show with no opening entertainment. I could hear the rumbles in the audience. I actually had the time to solicit the services of a photographer and videographer for future events so the night wasnt completely a bust. I thought this was going to be another one of those shows where they promote that a certain artist will be in the building. They stall and stall and then finally they say that the artist wont come out because the crowd wasnt hype enoughyou know the type. But to my surprise, just as I was about to get restless I get a call to come and interview one of my favorite up-and-coming groupsDem Show Stoppas. I like it when groups do something different, catch some slack for what they are doing and they STILL stick with it. These guys can dance and dancing used to be one of the truest and most self reflecting and expressive forms of communication in the Hip Hop Culture, so I commend these guys for sticking to what they do. The kids like it, and they are going full steam ahead with their movement. As long as you guys are selling and your fan base keeps growing, keep doing what youre doing.back to the show. Since Lady Shaq and Dem Show Stoppas were in the building, it was a good sign that there was actually going to be a show. Next came the actual promoterwow, what a surprise, late. Then came the artist, Yung LA, then Lil Ru, sprinkled with a few opening acts here and there. The show did not disappoint. Wish there had been something to do from 7-10 but I guess the performances made up for the lost time. Although, for this to be a place of higher education, I do take offense to some of the language that was aloud during this function...but who am I, I'm just a blogger. Til Next Time. One SpnDoctr
