Instantly Create a Transparent Image in Preview

Just a cool little feature I found the other day in Preview (which is preinstalled on every Mac) to easily create an alpha channel (transparency) without any expensive software or photoshopping skills! All you need is a Mac with either Leopard or Snow Leopard and an image with a solid background!
