"I don’t understand people who deny facts and science — do you?"It is because climate change rhetoric has little to do with science and every thing to do with scientism dictating morality to the children of this world. Climate change skeptics know this intuitively but have yet to articulate it. Scientism is the state religion of the western world today. Scientism has replaced the church in power and majesty. Five centuries ago, the church controlled knowledge in our world. Today, scientism controls knowledge. “Climate change continues to happen, despite whether people believe it or not.” Duhh. The only thing constant about climate is that it changes. One of the things I’ve never understood about socialists is this need for everything (economically) to be constant. The socialist gets upset every time a free-market collapses and responds by saying, “See! Capitalism failed.” Is it possible that pro-AGW people seek to stop nature from taking its course or that they have problems with the fact that the global environment is not static? I suspect that climate change skeptic are, by an large, economic libertarians and conversely, pro-AGW people are economic authoritarians (leftists).

Scientists are in agreement about climate change (that this is not nature taking its course) as much as they need to be for it to be accepted by those of us that are not climatologists.2. Science has not replaced religion because some people deny facts and refuse to use logic.3. Pure socialism and pure capitalism are not the issue. The issue is ignorance of science and the assumption that some god just handed the human race a planet to consume as quickly as they could.
