stalker-like in our enthusiasm, we often got to chat and share a drink with Donnelly, Ricky, Philip and Smelly. In a scene which produced such notables as Cathal Coughlan, Mick Lynch and others, the Nun Attax were, for me at least, a catalyst and the defining band on the scene. There was nothing else like them. Donnelly once, alledgedly, told Bono to "Go way ya Langer". That's enough to make any man a legend in my opinion. But Donnelly was already a legend, for me. I have honestly never seen a better performer before or since.
