Wasting Away: Failing HIV/AIDS Patients Amidst an Epidemic
Community-based HIV/AIDS groups that were funded by the city in
recent years have been cited for runaway expenses, a lack of clients,
lapses in care and spending records that were incomplete or missing
altogether. As a result, some District residents with HIV/AIDS struggle
to get the care they need.
