Maharishi: No, I do believe but it is not necessary for integration of life. it is not necessary to live completeness of life. That is the way for a man who doesn't want to live in society. Fine, but that can't be labeled as a prerequisite to realization.
Muggeridge: The how far would you consider that indulgence in sensuality and appetites is compatible with your way of life?...
By the end of the video Maharishi has clearly explained that renunciation and restraint is not necessary to gain enlightenment. Regular practice of Transcendental Meditation is all that is required.
Religions like Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, and Judaism all find fulfillment in the experience of Transcendental Consciousness.
