I’m going to explore ways to keep the spark alive when you can’t sleep next to your love every night. Do you or your significant other travel for work? Or maybe you just live across town from one another and you want to feel more connected. We all know the saying

“Absence makes the heart grow fonder.” Well, when two individuals are committed to making their relationship thrive, time apart can be a creative challenge that can bring out your wild and sexy side. Having some space in your togetherness is a GOOD thing. Modern day technology is a blessing. It allows us to IM or chat throughout the day. We can video-conference with programs such as iChat or Skype. We can take mini-videos with our cell phones or flip video recorders. Or we can take still photos and text them to our love ALL in the blink of an eye. With boundless technology at our fingertips, it is only our minds that limit us. Staying connected while traveling doesn’t have to be accomplished through gadgets. When my love traveled, I encouraged him to pack his bags the day before because that gave me time to sneak notes into the pockets of his clothes. During the day he would run across a sweet nothing from me like a simple “I love you!” or a little racier “Start guessing NOW what I am going to be OR NOT be wearing under my jacket when I pick you up from the airport.” Mentally, scents can keep the two of you closer. Smell is a powerful component for bringing memories quickly into focus. I recommend having a piece of clothing—a t-shirt or a sweatshirt that has been worn for a day or two by your partner loaded with their pheromones or simply a scarf with your love’s perfume or cologne on it—along with you when you travel. You will be bringing a part of them along with you. Also a fragrant candle or incense that brings back thoughts of your love. Pack photos that you can put on your remote desk or place on your bedside table. When you aren’t there to physically touch your love make sure you plan ways to incorporate all 4 of your other senses. We’ve covered smell and sight but how about taste. Is there a particular sleepy time tea, hot cinnamon coco or a special nightcap that you usually have when you are home together? If there is, bring it along on your trip and have it before you make your good night call. Cosmopolitan magazine said that 85 percent of you guys would like your girl to give it to you good—over the phone. So no matter how it begins, once the dirty talk is underway you'd better hope you have unlimited minutes. You may find some women aren’t really confident in the area of dirty talk, they simply some have no idea what you want to hear. If that is the case, I have found a terrific resource you can pass along called www.dirtytalktips.com. It is a weekly newsletter of tips for spicing up your repertoire in bed or over the phone. So by incorporating a few new phrases, the right smells and some tantalizing photos or videos you are well on your way to making your time apart from one another a way to bring the two of you closer, heighten your levels of good body chemistry and make you are all revved up by the time your lips can lock again.
