resident turned a pitbull loose on them.
The dog made a straight line for Chief Deputy Barry Welch who drew his service weapon and shot the dog as it was leaping to attack him. All this within 2.5 seconds.
Deputies took the suspect into custody. Then as they were clearing the house a female voice from the attic called out, "is it safe to come down now?"
Deputies arrested her on open warrants.
As deputies were finishing their investigation a woan pulled up who was a friend and wanted to take possession of the two remaining pitbulls. When deputies checked her she had open warrants in Roman Forest and was arrested.
During the several hours on the scene neighbors would drive by giving thumbs up to officers and thanking them for working in this area.
