end of the piece is a time lapse sequence showing Uluru at sunset, an experience that sees hundreds of tourists a day from around the globe gather at the viewing area to witness.
This is my first attempt at time lapse. Some of the sequences were shot hand-held and attempts have been made to use post processed image stabilisation to improve the picture. Others were shot using a tripod. Some were quite accidental - as when I was filming I didnt realise how they would look sped up with the shadows moving over the landscape. The entire set was filmed over a 36hr period during which we had everything from brilliant sunshine through to thunderstorms and waterfalls on Uluru (a rare sight in the middle of the central Australian deserts).
The camera was a Panasonic GS500 shot in 16x9 format. Post processing and NLE was undertaken using Adobe Premiere CS3.
