Rogers has more than 18 years of experience as a chief executive officer in the electric utility industry. He was named president and chief executive officer of Duke Energy following the merger of Duke Energy and Cinergy in April 2006. Before the merger, Rogers served as Cinergy s chairman and chief executive officer for more than 11 years. Prior to the formation of Cinergy, he joined PSI Energy in 1988 as the company s chairman, president and chief executive officer. He served as executive vice president of interstate pipelines for the Enron Gas Pipeline Group before joining PSI. Before joining the Enron Corp., Rogers was a partner in the Washington, D.C., office of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld. Before joining that firm, Rogers was deputy general counsel for litigation and enforcement for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Previously, Rogers served as assistant to the chief trial counsel at FERC, as a law clerk for the Supreme Court of Kentucky, and as assistant attorney general for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, where he acted as intervener on behalf of state consumers in gas, electric and telephone rate cases. He was a reporter for the Lexington (Kentucky) Herald-Leader from 1967 to 1970. Well you’ve sure been getting a little behind the scenes stuff of a filmmaker. It’s not always all the rosy stuff, but then it is a pretty cool place to be building a hangar when the troops come by on their way to the feeding grounds. Again today the baboons sauntered by. And they just kept coming and coming over the rise. There sure is a huge bag full of those guys. Otherwise my day was again spent in the hangar, but I’m hoping that’s about it. There a few little things to tweak but basically it’s finally finished and the next phase is rigging the plane AND then getting airborne!!! So its soon back to normal days with the added bonus of the microlight to assist my work. Thanks for hanging around and being patient. Of course I didn t get much else to photograph except the sunset on my way home. So with no real pictures for the day, I dug into my archive and going back to a month ago, I found today was the day I had that awesome time with the 3 black rhino! So, we've been talking to some clever independent Hollywood Web producers about making money out of Web video by creating entertaining, sponsored content. Tim Street, producer/director/writer, has developed a hit with his show French Maid TV which gets millions of streams on YouTube and other sites. Having developed the franchise he is using the "maids" to demonstrate how to use company products and services who sponsor the show. The "how to" video sector is really growing, as reported in the Wall Street Journal last week. One way to commercialize these videos are through sponsorships. But Tim reminds of a drawback: while the show segments live on forever, the sponsors sponsors don't always.Tim's Holy Grail is to find a way to dynamically swap out sponsorship messages in his show. That would be awesome. Oh, and by the way, the maids are not French, but I bet you figured that out.-- Andy Plesser
