Fort Smith Public Schools has nearly 20 classrooms using Eee PC netbooks. George Lieux, technology professional development specialist, gathered up nine classroom teachers to talk with Tony Vincent about their use of the mini laptops. Tony speaks with these elementary, middle, and high school teachers who all share valuable classroom management tips as well as great curriculum integration ideas.

Dr. Mark van 't Hooft from Kent State's Research Center for Educational Technology joins Tony and Mike. Mark discusses the new ISTE Special Interest Group for Handheld Computing and his work researching the use handhelds in education.

Having 30, 60, or hundreds of handheld can sure be a lot of work! Can you image having to routinely sync each of them to a desktop computer each time you wish to install applications and documents? Soft Reset Show #9 features technical strategies that experienced handheld-using educators use to make handhelds a bit more manageable. They are fun to listen to and give you a small sampling of the variety of things that can be done on podcasts.
