NCAA College Football week 2 - wrappup

from recent posts tagged football - blip.tv (beta) on September 14, 2009
Duration: 252
NCAA week two was marked by two marque games: Notre Dame v. Michigan and USC v. Ohio State. In the first game, Notre Dame, which was 18th ranked and is now dropped from the rankings, looked to the contest as the "must-win" if The Fighting Irish were to prove to themselves and to America that they were indeed BCS-bound. They failed. Distributed by Tubemogul.

Irina Slutsky and Tracy Swedlow: vlogging pioneers

from recent posts tagged female - blip.tv (beta) on July 02, 2009

I had the pleasure of hanging out with two of my favorite "vloggers" Irina Slutsky and Tracy Swedlow, of Geek Entertainment Television and Interactive TV Today. The idea was really just to meet at a cool cafe called "Mission Pie" on 25th and Mission in San Francisco and share ideas as friends - we all know each other already; this wasn't our first time talking but it was my first time getting together with both of them at once. We talked about events, vloggers, t-shrts, boobs, and the Karate Kid. Distributed by Tubemogul.

Promise Technology, RAID Engines, and Cal Berkeley

from NVNS on April 12, 2009

I happened on a number of blog posts about a company called "Promise Technology" and became more interested in these terms: "RAID" and "Cloud Computing" and because my grad school, Cal Berkeley, is apparently at the center of the creation of this technology. Also, I think, particularly in the wake of the San Jose fiber-optic cable crime of yesterday, it's important to shed a light on the little-known areas of technology and how they impact us. Vote For The Alameda Point Development Plan May 19th 2009

Vote For The Alameda Point Development Plan May 19th 2009

from LifePoint Church on March 27, 2009
Duration: 291
http://oaklandfocus.blogspot.com - On May 19th Alameda residents will be able to assure the economic future of the City of Alameda by voting for the Alameda Point Development Plan for the redevelopment of Alameda Naval Air Station as planned by the Alameda Base Reuse Committee and its subsequent evolutions to the Alameda Reuse and Redevelopment Commission of today. The plan consists of a mix of uses and an ambitious plan adding over 4,000 much-needed housing units. But the most important fact is the plan will mark the begining of the replacement economic development we have worked to achieve for so long. Opponents point to Measure A as the reason why the plan should be defeated, but the fact is Measure A was passed in 1973 and represents a time when Alamedans were interested in restricting development and maintaining Alameda from people of color. Those days are long gone. Now, Alameda needs jobs and the region wants to see The City of Alameda have an economic development project that replaces the closed Naval Air Station. This is that project. Distributed by Tubemogul.

http://www.zennie62.com -- Julia Allison's exploits are regularly covered by the online publications Gawker and Valleywag, who complain that she wants attention, then give her the attention in the process. Why? She's a great example of self-promotion.

Cell Phone Guns; Deadly "James Bond" Micro Weapon

from recent posts tagged bond - blip.tv (beta) on February 12, 2009

The cell phone gun is now in media view after a raid of an Italian Mafia group last fall. A 28-year old man captured had this device, but the the others got away. I fear this weapon - which is in the United States - would wind up in our high schools.

http://www.zennie62.com - Sarah Palin may be the GOP Laughing Stock to some, but to me she's crafting the foundation for a future political assent on the back of John McCain. She may wind up in an Obama Administration.
