Tina's short black skirts were revealing especially when she bent down, for any reason, to show off her rump. When her workers stopped whatever they were doing to stare up her legs, the husband, Fred, would angrily admonish them and ordered them back to work. Once the foreman asked Fred, "if you get so upset when people look at Tina's body, why do you let her wear such revealing skirts?" Fred remarked that he wanted to show her off and to let them know what he had. Fred was riding high as his company was thriving and even bought his second home, "a mansion with a pool," in 2005. He loved showing off his belongings and would oblige his workers to attend his pool parties. As the real estate market took a dive in 2007, his company began to face financial problems and he was having a hard time keeping up with his expenses. Meanwhile, Tina walked around, short skirt and all, unmoved by their financial situation. As his financial crisis progressed, Fred developed an irritating back pain. He'd spend most of his energies on his back pain and felt that if he could simply relieve it all would be well again. He wasn't about to give up his mansion and move back to his modest home in Ontario's ghetto. He was just too proud to let the world know that he was failing financially. After doctor after doctor failed to make him feel better, Fred decided to see a chiropractor. The chiropractor promised Fred a miraculous recovery through his spinal decompression machine. Fred was happy to dish out $6,000 dollars to be subjected to such therapy over a six-week period. Fred was stretched along the axis of his spinal column with his arms stretched out as he held onto two handles on the stationary upper half of the table. A pelvic harness anchored his lower half, as intermittent traction was applied, impressive. He bragged about his expensive treatment and implied that only he could afford it. A few months later, his back pain was worse, especially after his insurance company refused to pay for an unproven gimmick, lost his mansion, and had to move back to the ghetto. Galileo got the same treatment, pro bono, for claiming that the world is round while the Church claimed it was flat. Going on to other thoughts, I often see how parents become concerned when their children are a little bowlegged as they falsely associate it with growing pains. Miguel, my third grade classmate that used to bully us, said that our teacher's bowleggedness had resulted from excessive coital penetration. In a T.V. add for constipation, the maker of Miralax® shows a bowlegged woman acting happy and relieved after taking such a product. Going back to my childhood, I once asked uncle Ted (the 18-year-old second grade graduate) as to why the in heat female donkey ran from the male. Uncle Ted pointed to the erected donkey's penis and said, "well, that must hurt and the female donkey wants to avoid it." The U.S. Tuesday night burger special nearby makes the workers upset because the demand is high and they must mass-produce the burgers in advance. In order to insure a fresh product, the customers often ask that the pickles be left out. What also gets the fast food workers upset is when customers eat most of the food and then want to return what's left because they found a hair or got the wrong order or something. When I lived in Compton, I was one of the few white guys but I didn't speak English. Once a bunch of African-American kids gathered up near me as they stared at me in a menacing manner. Soon I learned they wanted to beat me up. I was left alone by my simply saying, "Me no English; me Mexican; me no white." In the ghetto, a woman loved to have affairs outside her marriage. She found it exciting to have the encounters in her own bedroom when the husband was away and might return at any moment. As soon as the would be lover found out that the husband could return at any moment, his sexual desire would suddenly collapse as he'd look for the fastest way to flee. Felicia use to keep sexually jumping her husband as soon as he'd get home. She wanted to be certain that she was not a lesbian. While in residency, the medical director told us not to fight patients when they wanted time off work or some pain pills, narcotics. When people made up a list of symptoms and would ask for disability, once granted, it was often hard to get them back to work, especially city workers. People were put on 40 Vicodin or Tylenol/Codeine pills per month so that they wouldn't have to invent more aches and pains. People would find ways to lose the pills or would often claim that the dog opened the vial and consumed the pills. People were too inventive about how they had lost their pills and no ands, ifs or buts curtailed their imaginations. I no longer give disability or Rx controlled substances. The Black Irish Band perform their original song "The Ballad of John Muir" The song was written in 1991 and it appeared on the bands very first album, The Forgotten Fields of America. The song will be re-released on the bands 19th album, "California Story", CD due out in the summer of 2008. Member Patrick Michael Karnahan wrote the song because of his love for the writings of John Muir. At the age of 11 Patrick read the "Mountains of California" and wanted to live out his life in the mountains. This song with the words & music can be found on the Sierra Clubs official John Muir web-site. It is one of the few songs written about Muir. The California Story CD album will feature special guests Michael Martin Murphey, Mary YoungBlood (Grammy Award Winner), and Matt Jardin, (former Beach Boy).
