Orange Lounge Radio 291 - 8/10/08
from Orange Lounge Radio - Video Game Radio August 12, 2008
The game Braid is quite the hot topic in the gaming community this week, and the hosts of OLR vary in their opinions of the game during our gaming weeks. The live chatters add another perspective to this weeks show with their comments. Finally after much anticipation, the first Homestar Runner video game is being released on the Wii and PCs this week! Rock Band 2 on the Wii promises not to skimp on the features, but will future Wii motion technology necessarily be exclusive to Nintendo? Folks hack the Wii in the most unusual ways, and do we REALLY need yet another sudoku game? There is music gaming news everywhere you look in Part B this week. There sounds like there will surprisingly be a few really great tracks in Konamis Rock Revolution, but nothing is as awesome as Journey and Heart touring together! An Age of Conan GM cyber story has many people in lolz this week, but find out the strong opinion of one OLR host on why the whole joke is ruined. Eye of Judgment gets a price reduction so maybe it can finally sell a million copies, and hey, did you hear the Gphoria winners were announced? Hey... where are you going...? Come back! All this and more on another episode of Orange Lounge Radio, the LIVE video game talk show where every gamer has a voice!

E3 2008: Flock demoed by CAPCOM
from The Bleeding Edge July 28, 2008
Add To Your Site: We were able to spend some time with CAPCOM during E3 2008, and they gave us a look at their very fun herding simulator, Flock. Yes, a herding simulator, but they are referring to it as more of a sandbox puzzle game. What they mean by that is that there are many ways to solve any given level, and the user can get creative and choose a method that is most fun for them. The point of the game is to move farm animals around a quilt-like environment using a UFO of sorts. The quilt is where the world lies, and everything in the game looks to be stitched together, which gives it quite a bit of charm. Depending on how you herd the animals, and change the level, you affect that different ways that you can solve each puzzle. The game is similar to Lemmings, will support co-op online gaming, and will have over 50 levels. If that isn t enough, there will also be a level editor for you to play with, and you can share any custom level you build online as well. The game will be released on Xbox Live Arcade, Playstation Network, and PC. Check out the full demo in this episode, and watch out for the awesome Rube Goldberg level near the end. Downloadable games were the focus of Capcom s Digital Day. During the press-only event, Capcom did not talk about Street Fighter IV or Resident Evil 5. Instead, the game developer showed off an updated version of and several other games that will soon be available on Xbox Live Arcade and the Playstation Network. In this episode of The Reboot, host Rio Pesino gives you a preview of HD Remix and other gaming news for the week, including Super Smash Bros. Brawl Disc Issues, another Xbox 360 price drop and the results of a survey that says gaming is more popular than sex. In fact, in honor of that last item, we ve put together a little treat for viewers, featuring some interesting moments from Dead or Alive, Rumble Roses, Ms. Pac Man and Dixie Kong .
