What Would Jesus Do? Ask Me Saturday Morning!

What Would Jesus Do? Ask Me Saturday Morning!

from The Word Is Grace on April 14, 2008
Duration: 1802
What would Jesus do? Better yet, what did Jesus do? How did He walk out His life without sin? How does any of that apply to my life today? What exactly is sin anyway? Have you ever thought about the question of WWJD in reference to Saturday? When you wake up on Saturday morning this weekend, just ask yourself, “What would Jesus do?” I can assure you that he would not go about his daily business, oblivious to God’s Sabbath – he would honor it like any Torah observant Jew! That sort of puts a twist on the way we view the WWJD bracelets, doesn’t it? Jesus had (has) a very high regard of the Torah. If he were to have slipped up and broken just one of the Commandments, he would not have been eligible to be the Savior of mankind. In fact, he gave a seldom recognized commandment when he said, “think not that I came to destroy the law and the prophets; I came not to destroy, but to fulfill.” (Matt 5:17) did you catch that? “Think not.” He is telling us in no uncertain terms that we are not even to entertain the idea that he came to “destroy” or “do away with” the Law and the Prophets. Jesus came to teach the Torah (law) correctly. He never changed the law, nor did he ever teach that men should not obey it – but that they should obey it in faith; faith which starts in the heart, and finishes with obedience. When we go about our daily lives, it would be better if we were to do what Jesus did – not merely try to figure out what he would have done in a given circumstance. We can do this by walking in the same way that he did, in obedience to God’s Law (Torah).

1/13b Spiritual Maturation

1/13b Spiritual Maturation

from recent posts - blip.tv (beta) on April 13, 2008
Duration: 589
You need to download the six-page Word doc chart which is the heart of the video, to see it well. Here's the link: http://www.geocities.com/brainout1/SMP.doc. WWJT: What Word Jesus Thought, What Would Jesus Think. That's the real and only spiritual life. You are to become Him. That's His Legacy, Philippians 2:5-10, 3:12-14, Hebrews 12:2, Romans 12:1-3 (Greek), Hebrews 11:1 (Greek, always mistranslated), 2Pet3:11, 1Peter 2:21 (Greek). We all know we are supposed to be "Christlike". Ok, but how do you monitor your spiritual growth? It's a THINKING maturation, something you BECOME in your head, not what you do with your body. Body will always be a product of the thinking. So this series charts that growth, so you can see for yourself where you are at any time. So far as I know, only my pastor has taught these stages of maturation; hence I use his vocabulary, with additions from Isaiah 53:10-11's five LXX verbs, showing how the (Youtube) Spiritual Physics videos play in the life. None of this material should interfere with any sect or denomination within Christianity, as no one else I can find, charts spiritual maturation. It will take awhile to upload the full series. Meanwhile, the 13b parts of the Introduction are in Google under "brainout", and Youtube, under "brainouty". My pastor's "1992 Spiritual Dynamics" series is the basis for the chart. His website is: http://www.rbthieme.org . Since he is now retired, again this shouldn't interfere with your own pastor, but should be helpfully adjunctive.
