so i was racing this YZR750 over the oakland hills to moraga. he couldn't catch me in the turns and i won of course. i sat at the intersection of pinehurst and canyon and counted about 11 seconds so that's not bad... M3 vs a motorcycle. but that's not why i i'm posting today... what ensued afterward was kismet. anyone who's been on pinehurst knows that it is one of the twistiest well-paved roads in the bay. as such, it puts a helluva strain on the power steering system in most cars and an M3 is no exception. i got to the chevron in moraga only to find power steering fluid pooling under my car... i blew a hose (not blew a hoes). keeping a 12yr old sports car in tip top is always work but i love to drive so it's a labor of love. luckily the chevron had a mechanics shop and they were able to order a hose for courier delivery and install it right then on a saturday. i highly recomend you see Mo down at the Moraga Chevron if you need any simple auto maintenance. since i had over 2hrs to bum around the nearby strip mall, i stumbled accross a wonderful gem - Moraga Liquors. their selection is as varied as BevMo with prices to match. They had one particular item $5 less than Costco, so I had to pick it up along with some other bar supplies . . .
