Traffic was an English rock band from Birmingham, formed in 1967 by Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Chris Wood and Dave Mason. Steve Winwood ist ein absoluter Multiinstrumentalist. Er spielt alles was mit Tasten ausgestattet ist, am liebste aber seine Hammond B 3, Gitarre, Bass, Drums, Mandoline usw.. Weiter zeichnet ihn von Jugend an seine schwarze Stimme aus, die zu Spencer Davis Group Zeiten schon so aussagekraftig im Feeling und Timbre war, das man dachte es würde ein farbiger Sänger dahinter stecken. Man war doch sehr überrascht, daß es ein weißer Engländer war. Seitdem ist diese Stimme unverkennbar und noch heute mit 60 Jahren hat er sich diese unglaubliche Stimme bewahrt. Auch seine Fähigkeiten an der Orgel und in letzter Zeit auch auf der Gitarre ( siehe Aktivitäten mit seinem Freund Eric Clapton ) beweisen immer wieder auf neue seine ungeheuerliche Musikalität, die auch von Kollegen aus der Branche geschätzt wird und zu diversen Session Aktivitäten sowohl Live als auch auf Studioproduktionen führten. A special aspect of his art is his "black" voice which he had from his youth and in his first time in Spencer Davis Group. His voice was everytimes full of feeling and timbre. Winwood collaborated with Prydz on the song by re-recording his vocals. The single received sales success and topped many record charts throughout the world. "Call on Me" is known for its music video, which features aerobics performers gesturing in a sexually suggestive manner. The music video for "Call on Me" features an aerobics class of women wearing 1980s styled aerobics outfits led by Australian dancer and choreographer Deanne Berry, much to the delight of the only man in the group, played by Juan Pablo Di Pace.
