Shooting on Digital There are many options when looking at the digital route, from buying your own digital video camera (DV Cam), to hiring the highest quality High Definition (HD/Hi-Def) camera. There is no question that, in most cases, HD looks better than Digibeta, but there is an ongoing discussion in the industry about the possible benefits. It is difficult to compare HD to film as they are very different media and need to be treated as such. Some areas of the industry are trying to push HD as the way forward for shooting drama and some countries have invested heavily in development of equipment, but there are some strong arguments against it. For example, the costs on HD post-production are often much higher than on DV or film. If you have just a small amount of money to spend, you may find a friendly post-production company professional or editor, who is happy to talk you through the pros and cons of shooting on various formats. Remember that the format not only affects the shoot, but also the post-production process with which you edit and finish your film.

The new iMovie 8... The main bad issue being most all your 3rd party plugins are NON-FUNCTIONAL. The good news is if you are not familiar with the old iMovie you will probably LOVE the new iMovie with all its new features and library . For those upgrading it will keep a copy of the "old" iMovie 6 HD on your system. This way you can learn the new iMovie while keeping all your old projects intact.

The pearl of the River Moselle In the most romantic part of the Moselle Valley, lies the old town of Cochem. Even the Romans sang the praises of this remarkable landscape. Cochemer Moselpromenade The magnificent Reichsburg, the big castle, situated on a precipitous rock high above the town, dominates the landscape. As impressive as the castle itself is the view of the Moselle Valley with its beautiful forests, meadows, fields and vineyards, as well as the old part of the town. The wine-growers and restaurant owners would also like to take the time to introduce you to the variety of their excellent Riesling wines. A further attraction is a river tour on one of the Moselle boats, either during the day or at night with music and dancing, when the lights of the castle and the town are reflected in the water. Background Be wary of what's behind your subject. Through the viewfinder you're often very concentrated on the principal and don't realize until later that there is a telephone pole growing out of their head or a window sash that looks surprisingly like an arrow going in one ear and out the other. The background can also be used to add to your shot. When interviewing your grandfather about his experience in the war, for example, hanging his uniform or a map in the background, slightly out of focus, can add visual interest and useful information to the shot.
