Heather Stewart, creator and owner of HS Home Staging, was the recipient of the Langley 2009 New Entrepreneur of the Year Award on Oct. 24. She will be telling us how she started her business, where the inspiration came from and will chat about receiving the award.

Yvonne Comfort is the fitness manager at the Tong Louie YMCA in Cloverdale. She will talk about the exercise program, the "Coach Approach", which is included for free with any YMCA membership. Learn about the project, intended to reduce drop out rates by teaching people self-management and regulatory skills -- to build exercise habits first, then look at physiological changes for life.

Tracy Gibbons from Fit4Two Prenatal Fitness talks about prenatal fitness. She owns Fit4Two Surrey/White Rock and is also an instructor for classes. Learn just what Fit4Two is and why it's important for pregnant women to participate in this program and stay active throughout pregnancy.

Information from Ken Bennett from Save Bear Creek Park about the proposed road extension of 84 Ave. through Bear Creek Park. Ken is opposing this road extension for 20 years. He is a professional biologist who worked for the City of Surrey as the Environmental Manager for the Engineering Department - so he certainly has the background to speak on the issue.

The first Delta Hospice building is near completion - it could be done as early as February. Nancy is the executive director of the Delta Hospice Society and she is going to give us a tour of the new building, talk about why this facility is so important to the community and what it will offer local residents.
