The Marsi Chandelier Part 3 - Assembling
from recent posts - blip.tv (beta) May 23, 2008
This is a 10 minute high quality video on the fabrication and assembly of the main body of the chandelier. It's not easy to cram several months worth of hand crafted metal art work into a ten minute video, but I did it. It's action packed and fast moving. Enjoy!

Don DiLego: Falling Into Space
from Insomnia Radio: Daily Dose MP3 Blog May 10, 2008
A man who loves the agony of writing songs. Don DiLego grew up in the 70 s. He often wore a yellow polyester suit jacket and plaid pant combo that his mom thought was really groovy , but in reality may have caused mental trauma. Once claimed to have once actually seen The Lone Ranger. First record purchased was Glen Campbell s Rhinestone Cowboy , but mostly listened to dad s Frank Sinatra and Al Jolsen records. Lives in New York City across from Jack s Coffee. Would most likely pick up his acoustic guitar to write a song but should probably do this on piano more often. There are also banjos, basses, harmonicas, tambourines, mandolins, accordians, and a wurlitzer strewn across his room in various states of disrepair. He really wishes he had a dog. Knows that if he can t decide what to listen to, Sweetheart of the Rodeo , Harvest , Pink Moon or Being There never feel wrong. Some of the most talented people he knows are his friends and they re all broke too. Photographs of 1971 is Don s third album. Check out Don s blog, The Velvet Elk. Glass City Skyway
from Lucas County Choppers April 04, 2008
Today, I took my first ride over the Veteran's Glass City Skyway bridge on the way to Maumee Bay State Park. Traffic was insane as expected, but I'm glad I took that way to the park. The bridge is definitely impressive. Quicktime for iPod with video - 1 min 37 sec - 10.39 MB Subscribe: iTunes or XML Full Albums LCC's Photoset

Nazca Lines Workshop - Blacksmithing in Peru
from recent posts - blip.tv (beta) March 16, 2008
I spent the month of November 2007 giving blacksmithing workshops in Huancayo, Lima, and Piura, Peru. Aceros Arequipa, a manufacturer of Peruvian steel products has been giving seminars, workshops, and demonstrations to the local Peruvian metalworkers for several years and has now expanded their program to include hands-on training with the addition of 16 anvils and 8 coal forges. The blacksmith workshops are held in different cities throughout Peru at different times of the year. I was fortunate and honored to be the instructor for this series. The workshop included a design I created specifically for the students. It is a hand forged wrought iron book-end with hot-cut Nazca Lines and includes the hummingbird glyph. The main purpose for this design is to give the local smiths the ability to create a sellable product to the tourist industry. Something small enough to fit in a suitcase and carry some of the mysticism found in this wonderful and sacred country.

Finally Got to Ride
from Lucas County Choppers March 04, 2008
Temperatures got into the upper 50s today, so I started up the bike and hit the road for a few minutes. Rain was approaching from the West, so my ride wasn't quite as long as I had wanted it to be. I also tried out a new toy. It's the ATC2K from Oregon Scientific, and it seemed to do OK. The microphone on it is shielded, so the recorded sound is horrible. Mini Chopper Day 14
from Lucas County Choppers January 30, 2008
I don't know how this didn't get posted to the site earlier, but here it is (even if it is a bit out of order.) This time, we suffer our first big catastrophe. The coffin tank that took 2 days to fabricate gets blown out. We now understand the power of air pressure in confined spaces.
