David Cameron recently visited Walworth Academy with Mike Bloomberg, the Mayor of New York. Walworth was one of London's less successful schools before being turned into an academy - but now there's a real sense of possibility and achievement here. Mike Bloomberg has also done some incredible things in New York with education in terms of getting the private sector involved, opening new schools, encouraging small schools and also giving head teachers control and autonomy over their schools - all things that the Conservatives support.
