They'll run key field experiments, to identify potential controls, and assess the likely impacts of the invasion, on fragile reef ecosystems and ocean-based economies. It's one thing to disagree with somebody. It's another to censor them. That's the central problem with the United Kingdom's decision to condemn The Great Global Warming Swindle, a documentary by Martin Durkin arguing exactly what its title implies. A response to the global warming awareness popularized by An Inconvenient Truth, Durkin's film was considered disingenuous from the perspective of British broadcast regulator Ofek, which ruled that Channel 4 violated the country's boundaries of impartiality when it broadcast the movie last year. Apparently, Durkin manipulated his subjects in order make them verify his questionable stance that global warming was a conspiracy. Now, I find it hard to buy into any movie that puts its ugly one-sided argument right in the title, but there's something to be said for freedom of speech in this case. What's the U.K. doing with these nonsensical impartiality laws? Since when do documentaries have to remain objective and avoid agendas? Even your average PBS program takes a side. The ruling suggests a totalitarian mindset where art is subjected to a group think mentality, and that's scary. What if The Dark Knight were banned for condoning torture? WARNING: This video contains graphic and disturbing images and is not to be viewed by anyone under the age of 15. I also want to put a word in here for Sophie Lancaster. Sophie was brutally attacked with her boyfriend, Robert Maltby while returning home walking through Stubby Lee Park in Bacup, Rossendale in Lancashire. The police suggested the attack was caused by the couple wearing goth style clothing. I live not too far from where that attack occured and I too dress in gothic clothing. It doesn't make me or anyone that dresses this way any less human! Just because we dress differently doesn't mean it hurts us or our loved ones any less to lose us! I never got to meet Sophie and it is a true shame, my deepest sympathies to Sophie's family. May she Rest in Peace. I put this here also to notify you that this video isn't completely about the animals it is about everything in the world including us! What is the world coming to if people can't even dress differently without being beaten up? This is what this video is all about. Please just watch it to the end and just think about things. I had such a hard time making this. The last half I just had to place the clips randomly because it would upset me too much to place clips slowly to the music. This video has been in my head for a while and I felt like I had to make it. I want this to reach the world, to see if we will make a stand and prove that together we CAN fix things! We are the next generation, the next form of hope for the world...don't let the world die! I used clips from BBC Motion Gallery and from Rise Against's Ready to Fall(Uncut) video.
