Second Life Looks at Google Lively!
from Videoblogging - recent posts - blip.tv (beta) July 15, 2008
Moderated by John Jainschigg, Director, Internet and Community Laboratory, Ziff Davis Enterprise, Inc., this lively discussion with panelists Rhonda Lowry, VP Emerging Social Media Technologies, Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.; Eric Reuters, Special Correspondent, Second Life, Reuters, Inc.; and Mitch Wagner, Executive Editor, InformationWeek, UBM TechWeb looks at Google's quiet introduction of the Lively virtual world platform that may mark the beginning of a new era for the exploding virtual worlds industry. The locus of greatest attention in that industry and the domain of greatest innovation has long been Second Life, which just celebrated its fifth birthday. What do Second Life residents, stakeholders and media think of Lively? Does Lively represent a challenge to Second Life's vision, or a powerful endorsement? Will communities of residents and business stakeholders on these platforms remain separate, or mingle? What does the near-term future hold for both platforms? In this informal panel, hosted by multi-platform metaverse developer World2Worlds in Lively, Second Life, and on the web, you'll hear first thoughts from major media minds on the Second Life/Virtual Worlds scene.

Jose Reyes
from YouTube :: Tag // newyork July 10, 2008
This is a tribute to The New York Mets Shortstop Jose Reyes.Jose Reyes should win the MVP Award baecause he has power to hit homeruns and he excellent speed to steal alot of bases.Also,Reyes should always go to the All-Star game because if the National League is down 1 run and there are guys on second and third base Jose Reyes could hit the baseball in to the gap and score both runs so The National League would win the game.On the New York Mets there are so many awesome players like David Wright,Carlos Beltran,Carlos Delgado,Pedro Martinez,and Johan Santana.Jose Reyes kicks @$$!!!!!!!!!! Modern Malady: THE SOUND OF MUSIC
from recent posts - blip.tv (beta) June 23, 2008
.IN OUR TIME, REPETITION ITSELF HAS BECOME THE FORM OF EXPRESSION. MODERN MALADY. NOT MELODY. MALADY. Presenting to you a handful of random musical selections from the last century against another batch of random music created in this decade by the people who were born in the last century - except Mr. RichardWagner who wrote the piece of music in the middle of the film 'Tristan & Isolde' in 1857 on a piano. WHAT IS MUSIC?The kinetic twin: sound and image of the image the sound is made and of sounds we make music so in the music there must be imagery and if the imagery is not in the music inscribed in sound, in pitch, in rhthmn, in melody then it doesn't move my spirit. There is so much vacant stimulation for the body and our physical senses, which by now is just the hardware, the property of the market wherever you are in the world.. Music can't be intellectualised or it ends up being just plain bollocks [John Zorn]. Also music can't be just entertaining, because there is room for the dance of ideas and sensual traits of music to merge and move you, not the apes.

As its name implies, the Heldentenor (English: heroic tenor) vocal fach features in the German romantic operatic repertoire. The Heldentenor is the German equivalent of the tenore drammatico, however with a more baritonal quality: the typical Wagnerian protagonist. The keystone of any heldentenor's repertoire is arguably Wagner's Siegfried, an extremely demanding role requiring a wide vocal range, great stamina, and extended dramatic suspension. The Heldentenor has an approximate range from the C one octave below middle C (C3) to the C one octave above middle C (C5).[2] (2)Tenor classification: Although vocal range is the primary characteristic which defines a tenor, it is not the only one. A tenor is ultimately classified by several vocal traits, including range (the lowest and highest notes that the singer can reach), tone quality, and lift or transition points ("passaggio") within the singer's range....
