I've been getting a lot of negative feedback about the background music being too loud and all I can say is that, well, nobody's perfect . So because this is one of my most viewed videos I decided to take the liberty to make changes. Hopefully this is the final upload I'll have to make with this video, and if you like it please leave a comment. Once this video starts picking up a lot of views, I'll get rid of the other ones. There are those moments that people always remember where they were when they heard the news, Pearl Harbor, JFK assassination, 9/11. Then there is the next level that most people remember, for me one of those would be when John Lennon was killed. Even the recent death of Michael Jackson was a little moment, a no kidding! And with a 24-hour news cycle always on high alert sometimes they try to create these moments. The OJ car chase (I will admit I know exactly what I was doing driving to Menlo Park from San Francisco to see an ex-boyfriend in a community play thinking, poor guy, no one will be in the theater tonight. ). The media is hoping we will get involved, stay tuned. Will the next one be a big phony baloney one? Rolling my eyes that I made sure not to turn on the news after reading about balloon boy online lest Vivien see it and worry that she too might be carried away, perhaps by a cluster of birthday balloons. Since we are social creatures, I think it s in parents best interest to support their child s friendships. When we had to move, I rarely looked at a house that wasn t in Avery striking distance as I called it. That is Viv s best neighborhood buddy, who we use to be a stone s throw from.  We are a long walk or a short drive now, and happily Avery s mom and I are making that friendship work. Of course 8 to 10 years from now, Vivien will much prefer to spend as much time away from me and with her friends as possible. That will be hard, but I am bracing for it. Sometimes I interview celebrity moms when they are guests on my TV show The Fashion Team on the TV Guide Channel (which, by the way, one needs a divining rod, crystals and  jumper cables to figure out when it comes on as it airs now ever other week usually on Sunday and Monday nights mostly). I love the gals I interview, or I wouldn t ask them to do a bit for Cool Mom. If someone wasn t fun, I would just skip it. I often ask them about beauty on the go. Or how can us moms not look and feel like crap. Now, I know if I haven t gotten enough sleep, which I haven t for almost every day for nearly 7 months now, no amount of spit and polish will make me feel like I look good. And when I haven t slept, I usually want to snack on carbs, which makes me feel fat, and I probably don t have time to exercise, which can make me feel a tad better about Team Daphne. But, sometimes, I do think, Hey, I look pretty good. My husband tells me I look nice when I m naked. (He did recently have eye surgery so let s take that with a grain of salt.) And then of course there is the unconditional love given to me by my adorable little kids. Kids love doesn t see whether their mom is Heidi Klum or Doris behind the wheel of a Honda Odyssey whose pants are about to split. They just see their moms in a shining light. Right? Share
