From : videos - Channel 9
Team Foundation Server 2010 will be getting some major overhauls to the setup and administration experience. In this interview, Ed Holloway, senior program manager for Team Foundation Server, talks about the changes his team is making. By the end of this interview, Ed will have completely deployed a 1-server Team Foundation Server 2010 instance. From : videos - Channel 9
Brian Harry, technical fellow at Microsoft, has pretty much become synonymous with Team Foundation Server. He not only leads the Team Foundation Server team in Raleigh, North Carolina, he also has the most widely read blog about what's going on with Team Foundation Server. But even Brian hasn't been saying much about Team Foundation Server 2010 until this week. I sat down with Brian and let him finally spill the beans on what his team has been working on. Brian remains fairly high-level for this interview because there's a lot to cover, but we have six other interviews going live today featuring his program management team going deep on everything he talks about. I even got Brian to talk a bit about his farm which has been keeping him busy outside of work. :-)

 From : videos - Channel 9
Unlike the other videos in today's series this one doesn't focus specifically on Team Foundation Server 2010. But since I was "in the neighborhood" I dropped by Doug Neumann's office to catch up on the latest tools and samples available for people wishing to migrate to or synchronize with Team Foundation Server. As the popularity of Team Foundation Server continues to rise, so does the demand for migration and synchronization solutions. Doug's team has been working hard to help people in this area. The sites Doug mentions in this interview are: TFS Migration and Synchronization Toolkit Timely Migration TFS to TFS Migration Tool Migration and Integration Solutions

Jim is the program manager responsible for the Team Build capability of Team Foundation Server. Team Build was one of the biggest areas of improvement for Team Foundation Server 2008, but that hasn't stopped the team from doing even more landmark improvments in Team Foundation Server 2010. Jim shows off how Team Build 2010 will take advantage of Windows Workflow, build agent pooling, distributed asynchronized builds, and two new types of build called "buddy builds" and gated check-ins. From : videos - Channel 9
A single Team Foundation Server 2008 instance can support thousands of developers working on hundreds of projects. But what if you need even more than that? How do you drive increased uptime and availability of your server to keep your developers productive? Team Foundation Server can already scale up with better hardware, but how do you scale out with additional machines? Mario Rodriguez is part of the team coming up with solutions to these problems. Mario walks us through the new architecture for Team Foundation Server 2010 being delivered as an overall effort known as Enterprise Team Foundation Server Management.

The Historical Debugger in Visual Studio Team System 2010 promises to revolutionize your debugging experience. Habib Heydarian takes us through a demonstration of just a few of its capabilities. But wait... there's more! Habib also shows us the new Test Impact Analysis feature his team is working on. With Test Impact Analysis it's possible to determine which of your tests will be... well... impacted by the code changes you're making! Not only does this mean that your unit test suite can run more quickly, but it can also lead to better testing and fewer bugs in software projects. From : Channel 9
In this interview, Milind Lele, a PM on the Visual Studio Pro Tools team shows us the improvements made to the tooling in Visual Studio SP1 for occasionally connected clients as well as the new data type support for SQL Server 2008. Using SQL 2008 built-in change tracking, you don't need to make modifications to your table schemas like you have to do with SQL 2005. Additionally he shows off a "smarter" DataSet designer where you can have tables coming from server and client data stores all contained within one model. Enjoy, -Beth Massi, VS Community

 From : Channel 10
World of Warcaft is currently the most popular massively multiplayer online role playing game in the world with over 10 million monthly subscribers. The interface is configurable through a rich extensibility system and one of the best tools around for creating AddOns for World of Warcraft is a program built on the Microsoft Visual Studio shell called AddOn Studio for World of Warcraft. A preview of version 2 of AddOn Studio for World of Warcraft is now available. Channel 9's Dan Fernandez caught up with Gabor Ratky and Attila Kisko, two of the program's authors, to talk with them about the how they built the progam, and how it's used to make AddOns for World of Warcraft.
