Live digital zootrope and VJ and DJ preforming spontaneously in Bibioj Population 1 camp at Burning Life 2009.

In 1956, Albert Namatjira made an unexpected visit to the Cootamundra Aboriginal Girls Training Home, where Lola Edwards was sent when she was just four years old. Namatjira must have been moved by the experience because on his return to Central Australia he painted the girls a gift. The painting, Arreyonga Paddock, James Range, hung in their dormitory until it was expropriated by Government officials in the 1960s. This year, Albert´s gift was donated to the National Museum of Australia. [This program was first broadcast on 19 September 2006]

German artist Josephine Meckseper's photography, videos and installations deal with the interaction between politics and glamour. In her current exhibition at the Migros Museum for contemporary art in Z rich, Switzerland, the visitor is confronted with chrome rims, oil rigs, car advertising, political statements and shop displays. Commissioned by the Deutsche Guggenheim, Anish Kapoor created a site-specific work. The sculpture, titled "Memory", is a 24 ton Cor-Ten steel tank, that sits tightly within the Deutsche Guggenheim's gallery space. Some fun for the weekend: Installed in the courtyard of the Manifattura Tabacchi in Rovereto, Italy (one of the locations of Manifesta 7), is a sculpture by Ricardo Jacinto, made of six gigantic black balloons, filled with helium. As the video shows, not only children have fun with the device that is diminishing one's weight by about 35kg and lifts up peoples bodies and spirits. The installation is called "Labyrinthitis". The Soul (or, Much Trouble in the Transportation of Souls) is the title of the Manifesta 7 exhibition in Trento, Italy. The exhibition is curated by Anselm Franke and Hila Peleg. With the installation "the chicken-and-egg-no-problem" wall-painting at Museum Ludwig in Cologne, Germany, German artist Tobias Rehberger presents some 40 works from 15 years of creative production. Spread along 70 meters and lit by spotlights, the works all cast their shadows onto the white wall facing them, merging with the paintings on the wall and forming a mural made of light, shadows and color. Manifesta, the European Biennial of Contemporary Art, is one of the most important European biennials. For the seventh edition of Manifesta, a whole region was chosen: Trentino South Tyrol, Italy. One of Manifesta 7 s venues is the fortress Fortezza / Franzensfeste. The exhibition at Fortezza, entitled Scenarios , focuses on sound and voice. This is the first video of our Manifesta 7 coverage. The new museum for modern and contemporary art, the Museion Bozen Bolzano, Italy, was designed by the Berlin-based architects KSV Kr ger Schubert Vandreike.
