Vídeo em ótima resolução do Teleférico de São Vicente, primeira cidade do Brasil, situada no litoral do Estado de São Paulo. O Teleférico de São Vicente é o primeiro equipamento nacional e também o primeiro de cadeiras instalado no Brasil, a dispor do sistema 'multi-speed', ou seja, controle de velocidade; o que possibilitou o acesso ao equipamento de idosos e pessoas com necessidades especiais. Teleférico ligando a Praia de Itararé ao Morro do Votoruá, composto por Equipamento Transportador a Cabo Aéreo, com capacidade atual de transporte, máxima, de 580 pessoas/hora, empregando tecnologia de ponta totalmente brasileira. As Estação de embarque superior e inferior ocupam uma área que compreende um total de 1.200 m2 na praia e mais de 3000 m2 no alto do Morro do Itararé, e contemplam ampla área de trânsito, sanitários e espaços comerciais. Fluxo de Usuários e transeuntes no empreendimento: Usuários/mês - 8.000 Tráfego na estação de Embarque inferior - 28.000 Tráfego na estação de Embarque superior - 18.000 População flutuante ao redor do teleférico/dia (motoristas e transeuntes) - 40.000 Área de alcance visual (a partir da avenida) - 800 m em cada sentido A meta, e tem potencial para isto, é chegar aos 20.000 usuários mês. SEGURANÇA: A segurança tem sido uma prioridade neste equipamento. Utilizando redutor tipo planetário, com fator de segurança 3, com 2 motores e 2 inversores de frequência (sendo um de reserva), com dois freios, sendo um no motor e outro no volante (com acionamento manual - hidráulico), motogerador para suprir a eventual falta de energia por parte da concessionária local e ainda um guincho intermitente para movimentar o equipamento, independentemente do sistema motriz acima mencionado. O controle do equipamento é todo informatizado, com checagem de todos os dispositivos de segurança em milésimos de segundos. O Teleférico de São Vicente é também o primeiro empreendimento de lazer, no Brasil, a firmar um acordo de parceria com o Corpo de Bombeiros, com formação de Brigada de Emergência, composta por funcionários do Teleférico, a qual é treinada pelos Bombeiros e, em contra-partida, estes são treinados na operação do equipamento. Para melhor operacionalização desta parceria foi feito o PPI (Plano Particular de Intervenção) onde são especificadas todas as possíveis eventualidades de incidentes e quais procedimentos deverão ser tomados, tanto por parte da empresa responsável pelo equipamento, quanto pelo Corpo de Bombeiros. A empresa também comprou e doou ao Corpo de Bombeiros, equipamentos para resgate em alturas. Equipamentos estes que já possibilitaram treinamentos de bombeiros de várias corporações do Estado de São Paulo, com simulação de resgates, no próprio Teleférico de São Vicente. Aspectos Sociais do Empreendimento Além de gerar dezenas de novos empregos diretos, incentivando o turismo, há que considerar-se ainda o aspecto social, pois parte do faturamento bruto é destinado ao Município de São Vicente e parte à Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Santos, percentuais já assumidos em contrato. Aspectos Ambientais do Empreendimento Este equipamento, desde sua instalação, traz em si o aspecto de preservação ambiental, fazendo com que haja o desenvolvimento de uma consciência ecológica, junto aos usuários; pois a tecnologia permite que estes desfrutem da natureza, de forma contemplativa e interativa, por todo o percurso, provando que é possível uma perfeita integração com a natureza e, o que é mais importante, sem degrada-la. A taxa de ocupação do solo é mínima, pois ao longo dos 700 m de todo o percurso do transportador a cabo aéreo, temos uma ocupação de apenas 36 m2, mais as áreas construídas das estações. Com esse índice temos uma perfeita interação entre tecnologia e natureza. Em contra-partida pela ocupação do solo (36 m2), foi feito o reflorestamento de 0,6 ha de árvores nativas, que ajudou a compor o remanescente de Mata Atlântica existente no alto do Morro do voturuá.
