Hagins was a great drummer who hit like a mean Keith Moon but was an even better Lead singer with vocals somewhere between David Bowie, Robert Plant, and Iggy Pop !! Bassist Rick Carmody is probobly the most 'well known' member of G.e. internationally what with his red hair and very weird 'un-rocklike' demeanor ,....The Greenhouse Effect Would explode on the internet in 2006 and 2007 as one of the first alternative rock bands to really capitalize upon the new 'video boom era"..........Tracks like 1991's "Brandy" and "Black or White Song" would make the trio internationally known and top downloaded. Producer Sound Engineer Bill Krodel pulls every ounce of angery energy from the band at Redondo Beach's Don Dokken owned Pendragon Studios. Says Clark Hagins; "Working with Bill Krodel at the console was amazing,..the man is a South Bay legend,..he 'made' us great,...We took things all to new levels when he recorded us,...even though he was on the phone most of the time (Laughs). Krodel died of a rare disease in September 2008 which shook the band and Hagins in particular. "I miss my friend,..I miss the guy who brought out the maturity in G.e."
