Maybe (1958) - The Chantels Mad Men has me going through my own personal 1950/60’s revival. Seems silly to say, since I wasn’t alive during that era, but I have the fondest memories of listening to Doo Wop songs while visiting my aunt’s house in Long Island — a welcome respite from the South Bronx of my childhood (they had a back yard and a pool). The Chantels were also from the Bronx and really marked the beginning of the girl group sound. Maybe is one of my favorites. I forgot how much I loved this song. :) Other things that happened in 1958: 14 year old Bobby Fischer won the US Chess Championship, NASA was formally created and the word Aerospace was coined, the peace symbol was created, Bossa Nova was born, the first IHOP opened — all in the midst of the Cold War and the Cuban Revolution.

Aprovechando la entrevista que le hicieron a mi amiga Marthyca Herrera para el programa Culturama de Se al Colombia me di una vuelta por La Troja, templo insigne de la salsa en Barranquilla.Al final sali un producto audiovisual que no es ni detr s ni c mara ni nota completa, simplemente una mirada en ese espacio de desahogo salsero que es La Troja, Patrimonio Cultural de Barranquilla.

Hace un tiempo tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer a uno de los videobloggers mas rompedores, Josep M Raventos, y a su equipo Ravennius. Pasamos con ellos unas horas y nos contagiaron de buen humor y energia positiva. Fue todo un privilegio estar con ellos, observar como se preparaban los personajes, como se maquillaban, como rodaban a las ordenes de Raventos, una mente inquieta e imaginativa con claros rasgos de showman.El dia se convirtio en todo un goce para los sentidos y fue admirable ver en accion a estos actores formados en teatro que hacen lo que mas les gusta: actuar.
