Con season is finally over - we reminisce about PAX and Dragon*con. This week's interview is with Adam Carpenter, lead designer for Fury, where you can get your PvP on in a big money tournament this month. While at PAX, we took a look at Halo ActionClix from Wizkids. We also saw King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters and, while it may be inaccurate, it's still a very well-made film. The show was taped on the birthday of the Dreamcast, and we look back at 9-9-99 and then look to the sad present. SEGA of Japan is discontinuing hardware support of the Dreamcast. But, two new games are coming out for the system by an independent developer. In the present generation, Factor Five have sent out reviewers guides to Lair, as if they had never played a video game before. Then, we take calls about Metroid Prime 3, Apple getting into the gaming industry, and then are reminded that the original Playstation also launched on this day. Then, we relay a story about the founder of America's Videogame Expo getting drunk at PAX and getting kicked out after hitting on the volunteers that run the show. The next two weeks will have shows live on SATURDAYS at 8PM ET/5PM PT due to personal commitments.

We're back from Philly, and so is our Xbox 360 - but we can't play certain games on it anymore! Find out what you need to know about Xbox Live Marketplace downloads and repaired consoles. But it doesn't really matter - Final Fantasy XII is here and, even though it's a PS2 game, it's awesome. And you know what, it really is a great time to be a gamer right now, even if sometimes we're overly critical. Our trivia game show helper SeymourBewty calls in to help us dissect the America's Videogame Expo (VGXPO) and be brutally honest in what it needs to do to become a successful event in the future. Yet another company wants to become the "next E3" - and this one has the ESA's blessing! EA is charging for cheat codes in Need For Speed - are we overreacting or rightfully justified? And is the price of downloadable content really getting out of hand? Finally, we discover why there won't be any wireless Guitar Hero action on the Xbox 360, even though there will be on the PS2. Next week, we discuss our plans for a live Wii launch broadcast, so don't miss it!

This episode is a combination of two seperate events that took place at the 2006 America's Videogame Expo in Philadelphia. The first 33 minutes are the All Games Radio Trivia Challenge, which tests you on obscure trivia about game audio and gaming urban legends. See if you know more than the audience! Then, starting at the 33 minute mark, is the ATARI keynote address, where Atari, Inc finally embraces the homebrew and oldschool enthusiast community and outlines their new approach. The speakers in this 20 minute address are Chris Bergstresser, Ian Sharpe, and Alex "LX" Rudis. The keynote begins *after* our traditional outtro (that was a part of the trivia contest) so don't click away when it starts!

First up, on Saturday, October 28th, at the Valley Forge Convention Center outside of Philadelphia is the All Games Radio Trivia Challenge at the America's Videogame Expo! Come win free shirts and other prizes by being more knowledgable than everyone else. But this week, an Xbox 360 died, and that will be the last you'll hear of the 360 on the show. Bully came out and is not the game the politicians promised me it would be. Sam and Max Episode 1: Culture Shock also came out on Gametap and is everything we've dreamed of an more. There's also an interesting DS RPG out there - Contact - and we ask a listener to call in and talk about it. PS3 news is coming out thanks to the Sony Gamers Day, and we summarize the announcements. However, we talk about how Sony might not hit their shipping targets, and about how to replace a Sixaxis controller if the internal lithium battery dies. We talk about Twilight Princess for the Gamecube being sold online only in the US - or rather, the rumor of it that was unfounded. Finally, we take a call on if the next generation is starting too soon and if things are looking like they're coming soon compared to previous launches.

We're going to America's Videogame Expo (VGXPO)! Listen for details on how to win fabulous prizes. We played the demos for the Phantasy Star Universe Online Beta and Elite Beat Agents, and we give our thoughts on that as well as Clubhouse Games for the DS. The Wii and PS3 preorders came and went this week - did you get one? If you did get a PS3, did you try to sell it on eBay and get your auction taken down? We get an email asking if we would pay inflated prices compared to the rest of the world...The live chat room's response may surprise you. The E3 Media and Business Summit has finally been announced, and we're not invited. G4TechTE! has also been announced, and we predict what it really means for the gaming channel that isn't. Plus, Bully doesn't get a wedgie in Miami and is allowed to be sold - much to the disdain of a certain lawyer.

It's official - E3 has been refocused into a smaller show called the E3 Media Expo. Were we right in saying who did and didn't influence the change? What will happen to the smaller companies that hung out in Kentia Hall? And is this the end of gaming events in the USA? Bobby had a moment of weakness and now has Chromehounds, and lays down the gauntlet towards another podcast. Scot Rubin, Lawrence Young, and Arena Ron from All Games Interactive check in from the Sunday One-day Fun-day Tournament in Los Angeles. Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting is hyper hard, and that's upsetting some fanboys - but they were then happy to hear what Castlevania game is coming to Xbox Live Arcade. You can get a Wii with your Slurpii (get it?) but does this mean that the price of the console is higher than expected? Spore isn't just for PC gamers - it's coming to consoles as well. And Gears of War emerges with a viral marketing campaign and a firm release date.
