Romania presents three artists at the 53rd International Art Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia 2009: Stefan Constantinescu, Andrea Faciu and Ciprian Muresan. Their works are shown within the framework of a site-specific installation conceived by the studioBASAR architectural group as a theatre set. At the 53rd International Art Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia 2009 Greece is represented by Lucas Samaras. Lucas Samaras presents the multi-installation Paraxena in the Greek Pavilion in the Giardini. The show brings together three recent series of photographic and video works produced between 2005 and 2009, juxtaposed with a discrete group of sculptural works from the mid 1960s. This video shows an excerpt of the lecture Liam Gillick held last month (February 12, 2009) at the Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin (the full length version is available on our HD page).
