La Sierra University Church Sabbath School Quarterly July 26
from YouTube :: Tag // newyork July 22, 2008
This video is a combination training session and Sabbath School Study Aid. From http://ssnet.org/qrtrly/eng/08c/less04.html Some people today dispute whether Jesus ever lived, but the historical evidence is overwhelmingly clear. The real issue concerns His identity and purpose. Was He just a good man, or was He the Son of God? "A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic-on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg-or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse."—C. S. Lewis, Mere Christianity (New York: The Macmillan Co., 1960), p. 52. As Adventists, we work from the starting point that the Bible is the Word of God and that what it says about Jesus is the truth, period. We do not have the time to waste on all the nonsensical high-critical speculations about whether Jesus really said and did the things the Bible says that He said and did. As Adventists we believe those things because they are written in God's Word. After all, if we cannot believe the Bible, what can we believe? ECE Day '08 - Team 14: Display All the Way (Part 2)
from YouTube :: Tag // christmas May 14, 2008
Christmas Ornament Digital Display The Digital Christmas Tree Ornament is a modern approach to the classical tradition of hanging ornaments on a Christmas tree during the holidays. The ornament is housed in a custom rectangular enclosure, with a central 4.3? LCD used for displaying pictures from an external memory source found in most digital cameras. The ornament receives power from four standard AA batteries that allow the unit to operate for roughly seven hours. The digital ornament is light enough to hang from a tree, while allowing the user to use an innovative LCD touch screen and menu interface to traverse through the pictures located on the external memory card. The digital ornament is also capable of interfacing with a standard PC to load new pictures and browse currently stored images on the memory card. ECE Day '08 - Team 3: CODD (Part 2)

Christmas Ornament Digital Display With the world of photography firmly in the digital age, and with small color displays becoming more and more affordable, digital picture frames are now becoming a household item. Unfortunately most of these frames either provide a high quality image at the cost of increased weight, or are portable but provide a small, typically 1", viewing area and a low quality image. We aim to combine the portability of the low quality digital picture frames with the display quality of the larger digital picture frames available on the market. The frame will be in the form of a Christmas Ornament in order to modernize our customer's family tradition of having a family photo decorate his Christmas tree. In designing this prototype, we have chosen a Single Board Computer with a Linux OS to run slide show software written in C as the focal point of our device. The device will work in conjunction with a Picture Modification Software on the user's home computer, written in C#, which will allow the user to select which pictures to send to the device, and will format the pictures appropriately before they are sent to the ornament. The ornament will have a button interface for the user to control the slide show, and the device will be powered via a rechargeable battery.
