Shot with my Powershot TX1 - Still makes me laugh. Cast: Doug Larsen

Bo Lorentzen (who is Danish and now resides in Southern California, my home state) was in Chicago for a trade show and we met at a local sushi joint for a mini-Vimeo Meetup. I was anticipating a nice dinner with an even nicer guy but I didn't anticipate what would happen only five minutes after we met! Bo, what you did means more to me than you can possibly know! This is something that has been on my wish list for months but has taken a back seat to my ongoing (9 month) job search. This is a montage of shots taken of a Panasonic HDTV with the Canon Powershot TX1 at the start, finsihing off with the Aiptek AHD. The TV does produce good sound but for some reason it got cut during the conversion process.

Part 2 of a series of clips from the new 2 mile hiking trail off of Flintridge Drive in The Woodlands, TX. We used a Canon Powershot TX1 to shoot the video. The trail leads you through some great natural scenery of the land similar to the rest of The Woodlands before it was developed. The wetlands and Bedias lake are highlights of the trip. I've read that they plan to expand to 6-8 miles of trails in the Preserve area. The trail is for hiking, walking, running, and mountain bikes. Talon Trails is designing the course with a lot of manual labor being contributed by The Woodlands Cycling Club. The trail opened in February, 2008.

A collection of videos taken along the drive around the east shore of lake tahoe. These were taken with the Canon Powershot TX1.

We filmed some skiing on the black run called the Challenger. This run is on the backside of Northstar at Lake Tahoe.The TX1 is one of the best hybrids currently available. I have found it to be a great didigtal camera, but skiing videos really push it to the limits. You can see chromatic bleeding above the bright snow that results in reddish tinting. You can also see the focus hunting in this particular video.On the positive side, when compared to the Aiptek A-HD, the image stabilization and the zoom features really play a roll in making this shot look good.
