378,491 Views - LOS ANGELES. Greenhouse Effect have come roaring back in 2008 and 2009 to crushing views and downloads on the internet, Top chart success at Myspace and Youtube, "Other countries" explosive plays of their Mega Hit single BRANDY, A 1000 $ Dollar payday "side stage" offer to play California's Coachella Festival, and top rotation at JANGO RADIO ! NEEDLESS TO SAY, its been quite a year for the pinnacle three piece 'trio' band that "Started it all". "We are and were THE musical revolution of the 1980's and 90's" says Clark Hagins in November 2009. "With so many people now knowing about me and my music, learning about Phil Keegan, and Great People Like Jeff Snow at Rock City Productions in Massachusetts,..and so curious about all of our web tactics and Jango Radio,....its great,...we have everything in place EXCEPT for the major airplay at FM RADIO in America,.....AND we'll get THAT next" says Hagins. Hagins gushes about a hopeful upcoming "reality show" about him and his music plus his swimming pool cleaning possibly on Halogen Tv airing in 2010. "My surfer nephew has a show called "Wave Hunters" that is gunning onto airplay with Halogen,..there may just be a G.e. thing in the works soon,..although millions of people have seen me so much,....I'm alot like Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters,...theres a hella lotta people that are sick and tired of me,...but fortunately for me,..i got this nerdy Weezer Rivers Cuomo type of thing where G.e. is so "lovable" ,..we're like Woody Allens,..they love us in France and Japan,....We got geekey guys in the band like Ted,....even Palle too,..we are charmers,...I hope people will tune into my tv show soon,..I hope they're not too sick of me and Brandy n all" Hagins speaks fondly of a recent rehearsal where he and new drummer/ Surfer Hagan Kelley rocked in San Diego's North County's Goblen rehearsal studio in Vista Ca. "Its kinda sad because years ago, Goblin burned to the ground and their guy Darren - who is just such a terrific great guy,..he really struggled to get Goblen studios going again so we bands can play there,....We bands NEED a place to play,..to jam,..it means alot to groups that are struggling too these days,...but me and Hagan pulled off a great show,...We did play Brandy pretty tight,....I don't think we were quite ready to play that Coachella thing last summer but Hagan suggested that we just go there and play the whole ENTIRE gig in our underware, smashing all our gear,..and I was like 'but dude,..we don't HAVE any gear,..we would be smashing someone elses' gear (Laughs)" Darren from Goblen often "loans" Hagins and other bands musical gear to jam with for a small fee,...."Maybe if Darren loaned me the absolute crappiest guitar I could smash it at a concert and he might not mind (Laughs) " adds Hagins Hagan Kelley's surf program documents his trips to Mexico and maybe Fiji where he surfs waves, hunts for "Art chicks" and listens to "Gone" old tapes by Greg Ginn from Black Flag. "Hagan's show "Wave Hunters" is gonna be part of Josh Shipp's Jump Shipp I think" says Hagins.... Meanwhile in the U.S. , G.E. continues to rack up astounding numbers in cyberspace as the "World's biggest internet rock band" feeding off their song Brandy mainly and footage of historic G.e. concerts back in the South Bay of Redondo beach California like the Show at the Hermosa Saloon on August 16, 1991 ,..where G.e. appeared to be 'copying' the look, style, sound, and demanor of Seattle band Nirvana - Ofcourse at the time, there was no Huge Nirvana known as their "Smells like teen spirit" video and "Nevermind" album had yet to be released and heard of.." Our band was so innovative" says Hagins "For years , i tried and tried to convince all the major labels to sign us and i begged them that 'grunge' rock was gonna be the next big thing - this is very common knowledge in the South Bay,....everybody THOUGHT that I was crazy and insane,..they said that 'alternative music' was never gonna make it ,..and that it was subject only to the 'bargain bins' at record stores,..well, I fought like hell,..not just for me,..but for ALL EMO BANDS,....WE WANTED TO DESTROY heavy metal and bands like Skid Row and Def Leppard,..it was a tough tall order,....when i suddenly saw Nirvana going off huge,..i was a little stunned,...I mean i was a little happy to see that my ideas could work in the big time of the main stream,...but then I began to get bitter and angry and i wondered how it was,...how was it possible that G.e. of all bands ,..still couldn't get signed,...even with our song BRANDY in 1992,..it really bummed me,..out,..it made me give up and quit ,..by late 92' ,..I was over,..G.E. WAS OVER !! Our bassist Ted had quit and went and joined a punk rock band called the One handed Readers in Redondo,.....me and Palle Carlson tried to keep G.e. alive ,..but then he went back to Denmark,..man,..it was sad,..things were falling apart fast,....then, I saw all those bands like Weezer and Green day in '94,..THATS when i knew it was really over for me,..and i was only 29 ,..back then,..but in those days,..THAT was considered old !! In the South Bay,.... Hagins began the live part of his musical career jamming with bands like Palos Verdes demo project "The Cloud Chamber" before moving on to jam with fellow Redondo guitar rocker Steve "Stevo" Stepanian - where Hagins played drums before jamming with a multitude myriad of different South Bay punk bands, among them B.P.S. (beats per second) and "Outlash Control" before settling in as permenant fill in drummer for the Jim Mellon Quartet and the CVB (Christine Valley Band) with Joe Groovey dude and John Hall from Youngstown Ohio and many drunken nights at the Hermosa Saloon where huge loud blues gigs were often "Led" by Hagins - from the drum kit. "Its funny,..in the South Bay, I had just like this HUGE reputation as a drummer - but NOW most of the world knows me as a guitarist (Laughs)" says Hagins in November 2009. "Brandy" has turned Hagins into an overnight success and more than a household internet word ,..where millions of plays and downloads ,..many often 'originating' in the South Bay before spreading all across the country and the world "My dad was like this heroic school teacher at Palos Verdes High School,..he was Gary Hagins Teacher and his students really loved him and his dark sense of humor,...they rallied around HIM and now today, from all across the United States,..they rally around ME - I AM THE SON OF GARY HAGINS,..SCHOOL TEACHER ,..THATS LIKE BEING THE SON OF JESUS OR WAYNE GRETZKY IN CANADA,....'THATS' HOW MUCH HIS FORMER STUDENTS LOVE MY DAD !!,...I LOVE MY DAD - He's such a great genius thinker,...he writes great books,..he would have been a great blogger in cyberspace,....my dad has cancer right now,..he is very sick,..and 80 years old,....but he is still very sharp of mind,..he recently had a heart attack and stroke,...i will do every thing in my power and all i can to make sure 'all' of my dad's great books get published - I KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO BE GOOD - BUT GOOD IN THAT GRAY AREA WAY - where people don't really understand you,..My dad is GREAT LIKE THAT - HE IS A GENIUS !! I'M GONNA SEE TO IT THAT ALL OF HIS WORKS BECOME FAMOUS AND PUBLISHED !!! Its in our Family DNA to create Great Art.... HAGINS credits many nights of rehearsals and gigs at places like the Hermosa Saloon in giving him the confidence to play rock n roll music..."I was NOT always a nice sweet friendly guy to people,..but i could be very cool and kind too at times if given a chance..,..All that they try to say about me is not true,..its a big misunderstanding usually ,..I was just fighting to get to the top - THE TOP OF ROCK N ROLL AND GRUNGE ALTERNATIVE MUSIC,..Very determined....ITS A BUMMER THAT I COULDN'T have made it and hit the big time back in 1991 or 92" says Hagins "but this is how God wants it,..I'll just have to rock out now - for the world - at age 44,..and I will help bands like the Spongetones and Batlord along the way !! ======================== Hagins says that he "has to blog" and thoroughly enjoys writing - even more than music "Its like sex being a blogger" says Hagins "especially when yer one of the world's most known,..its nice to know that people read my shit" - "My dad was and is a Great writer,...and writing is difficult,..you have to organize and remember a lotta stuff ,..like as if you yourself are a computer,...it takes a ton of patients and passion,...its difficult and tough,..but 'IF' you enjoy it,..THAT makes it all fun and worthwhile,....I just wish I could get paid for this shit (Laughs)...." =================== Hagins says he didn't always get along or have the greatest relationship with his dad "I don't worry about that old shit now to the point of it killing me,...people on youtube come on there and they say nice things and they try to help me,..its been a struggle,..my dad did what he had to do and he was tired from teaching all day,..he still managed to devote time to his Church and his followers,..and i am ONE OF THEM !!...He fed me food,....and he put a roof over my head" =========================== Jango Radio has been quite useful as Hagins manages to get plenty of World-wide Airplay for songs like "Brandy" and the "Black or White" Song along with what Hagins calls "Crucial airplay' for the Phil Keegan guitar era of G.e. "My music is just pop flap,..its three chords with verse chorus verse kinda shit,....but it IS the Phil Keegan on Guitar era of Greenhouse Effect that makes Our band so unique and special,...we were real true warriors ,..standing up for bands like "Book of Talesian" era Deep purple, the Who, and the Yardbirds with keith Relf,..we were real 60's junkies,..THAT is what became grunge with "Precarious" and "Racers" and 'Waiting for your love to fail"...plus Rick Carmodys important 'flannel image',...If i could turn back time,..I wish atleast TWO of our important gigs had been filmed and I had them to document today and that would be this one gig that we played in 1987 at Madame Wongs where me and Ted were all decked out in flannel,..we did it in honor of Neil young and Mike Watt mainly (Laughs),...no,..in 1987,..we weren't doing it for Kurt,..(hisses),...Me and Ted always thought that Nirvana sucked ,..and to a degree I still do,..those guys are fucking Lame - atleast compared to G.e. - but then again,..ALL bands suck ...next to G.e. - except shit like Rush and iron Maiden - THAT SHIT is hella good !! I can't touch THOSE !! ANY BAND after Sept. 24, 1991,..I don't listen to,..maybe Weezer,..and thats all,..the rest of it sucks,...I respect Nirvana for all their luck and timing n all ...and skill - one cannot deny them,...but i don't respect Green Day at all - NOT ONE BIT,...I WOULD SPIT IN THAT GUY'S fucking little face .....

139,836 Views - CAST TV MEFEEDIA; Redondo Beach California's Greenhouse Effect sound more like a band from the UK and Liverpool than they do a surf-rat bunch of beachcombers from the South bay - but indeed infact, the biggest band On the internet, and who can out-traffic Perez Hilton and Tila Tequila COMBINED on a consistant daily basis shrug off their Mega-cyberspace fame and Notoriety. "Being the biggest thing of all time and having people buy my music and download our itunes all around the world is a big thrill for me,..I am THE Wayne Gretzky Of the South bay,....I am like the Sydney Crosby of Rock n Roll,..NOBODY CAN TOUCH ME" says Clark Hagins in 2008 with a Laugh Grande. "Greenhouse Effect is the Stanley Cup ,..and whats scary is EVERYDAY,..it just gets bigger,..it snowballs" Greenhouse Effect have seen their success at their Myspace profile go up and down, sometimes Landing them high in the top 100 bands of all time, often passing by Lil Wayne, P Diddy, and Mariah Carey in the process. And G.e. can make mincemeat out of the typical EMO band with ease; "We got great technology and great linking software and tags,..I completely know what I am doing and I am so grateful that Dr. Steve Hoverton came back into the G.e. world as he is a software engineer and manipulator,...He knows how to link G.e. to EVERYTHING,..MLM MARKETING SITES, WORK AT HOME ,..and yes ofcourse tons of porn,..People into Porn love G.e. because they dig the name Brandy ,..and thus they end up digging our song !! Haging and Hoovernton created SuperNETCelebrities.com as a place where bands can gain Large web traffic (Like G.e.) simply by paying Hagins and Hoovernton a small fee,...and then they make the rest history baby !! "I can turn regular rock bands into mega internet superstars " says Hagins "After bands work with me,...they are flying off to Japan soon after,..or Norway ,..or WHERE-EVER !! THEY BECOME IN DEMAND !! I KNOW how to 'target' countries and with Jango Radio and the ZEUS 1000 ROBOT, I can blast your songs and make you very famous with SupernetcelebritiesCom" Hagins does not guarantee the mighty household word success of G.e. adding "You gotta be a great songwriting band,..you gotta have great songs,..we got Brandy but a hell of alot of people call G.e. just another one hit wonder,..but I feel we got other great songs too like "People (that won't back down)" Hagins takes great delight in the world success of G.e. and Brandy but does not take so kindly to so many of the new Hagins "converts" and "Newbies",...Most of my life, ..people always disrespected and hated me,..they put me down just about only,...I'm sure they still do behind my back,....and they seemed to go out of their way to show me that they didn't like my music either,....when all these people come up to me today and are patting me on the back and telling me how great they think I am at music I am like "Fuck you mother fucker,....You were never there for me before,...why should you suddenly like me and say that I am so good now ??? " SuperNETCelebrities.com and the HOMESTEAD WEB HOSTING COMPANY are exciting ventures and associates for Hagins,.."We use the same company that works with talk radio host Michael Savage" says Hagins ...

98,734 Views - In the everyday World of listening to music in your car stereo or walking into your neighborhood 7-11 or Mighty Mart, You are likely, in passing, to hear more than enough of Coldplay or Foo Fighters. Beyonce or Hip Hop Rap music. Eminem or My Chemical romance. But in the World of cyberspace, You are likely to hear - and fall in Love with just One band. You have entered the domain of the Greenhouse Effect and Clark Hagins. No, we're not talking about Global Warming or the depleting Ozone and a hole growing. We're talking about the biggest band on the internet. From countries near and far, they watch their G.e. indeed !! G.e. rules the web baby !! "We're very interesting" says Clark Hagins "We look normal,....theres no tattoos. People are in Shock...Plus the songs are good" Hagins continues "We're a musical revolution... We have the best music that there is anywhere on Earth, ...We have strong Songwriting,..and we have "Brandy" says Hagins. Brandy is ofcourse the song that has launched G.e. to international notoriety as it casually builds the web's biggest song video plays around, day in and day out making Hagins a known internet web fixture along with funny looking red haired bassist Rick Carmody and other kooky characters in the band such as one time drummer, Denmark's Palle Karlson. And Top Radio Airplay at Jango and Pandora FM cement G.e. as a cyberspace Door nail one cannot deny. - "We're hillarious to look at,..we bring back memories,..to people around the South Bay and beyond... , we are THE connection to the past,..as a child, I was always obsessed with the 60's and the Beatles,....I always wanted to go back in time,..where I could go to a Yardbirds show" says Hagins. A band that was formed in 1985 by G.e. axeman guitarist Phil Keegan (Dr. Phil) has become a source of debate among fans around the world as well as today with band members of G.e. themselves... "Me and Flipper have argued over who was doing "Grunge rock" first,..was it my demos from 1985 or was it G.e. from 1987 ??" (Laughs) says Hagins "Clearly, the world sees today now,..that it was G.e. - and not any band from Seattle - that was doing the flannel rock 'Grunge' stuff first,..plus sending their tapes too SST,...thats critical" says Hagins "Me and Ted wore Flannels because of the Minutemen and SST Records bands like that,..plus Ted's house was always extremely cold and messy,...Redondo Beach could be very cold at night in the wintertime,..we wore Flannels to mass at St. Lawrence Martyr church,..it was hip in 1988,..it was punk rock,..but when yer kinda a nerd or a loser,...thats just what you wore,..everybody in the South Bay wore them,...Rick Carmody practically perfected the flannel,..we didn't wanna look heavy metal,..our songs were sullen and sad,..we wanted (and succeeded) to form a whole new sound, look, and style,..we were originators,..and I informed ALL the major Labels as far back as 87',...but nobody believed in it or took me or it seriously,.." says Hagins "When yer a stoner, alcoholic loser in the South Bay, you had a particular demeaner,..."Racers" and "Precarious" were our early statements,....we were inventors" "We're so watched and so popular,..it just tickles our egos" says Guitarist Phil Keegan "I never dreamed that THIS many people would know about my guitar" Clark Hagins began as drummer for the Jim Mellon Quartet in Torrance / Redondo Beach Calif. nearly 30 years ago, playing shows around Hermosa and Redondo beach at places like the Hermosa Saloon, Pier 52, and the Pitcher House as well as where-ever the bands could find a gig. "It was important" says Hagins "It helped me grow as a musician because the crowd was so close at the tiny Saloon,...it sometimes made audience participation almost mandatory,...people would come out of the crowd and join the band and play,.." "There were some great gigs there where I played with many bands,..that were historic,..so many were never filmed unfortunately,...those were great times,...those tight, close in crowds at the Saloon,...they readied me to get the confidence to rock the world on the web,..the applause I remember assures me that I could rock,..I was always in demand to either drum or play guitar with like 8 different bands,...its great memories,...it readied me to rock the world" Hagins laments today's depressingly bad rock scene of the FM radio that he sees as Tired and out of ideas where what few alternative radios are left are constantly still playing their same old plate of worn out Foo Fighters and Green Day and Marilyn Manson records from the 1990's. "Radio needs to move on and find bands that are into the Yardbirds and early Zeppelin,..the emo and Coldplay thing has grown super mega boring now,...today's MTV and Radio sucks,...they still play old Nirvana records over and over like as if they are still around,..either that or they blast endless repetitious Hip hop and rap that sucks,....these bands suck,...they are tired and old,...we badly need something new now" says Hagins " I just think that all these KROQ type radio stations suck - they all sound the same ,...very boring,....and people are sick of it now,...the ratings are way down,...they should be playing bands like G.e. - or atleast carve out a special hour for today's metal bands who don't get any airplay like Bullet, Airbourne, and Dragonforce and the Darkness,...the grunge thing has gotten old,...its time to give 80's metal it's chance and it's time again on American radio because on the internet - and THATS where all it really matters now ,..those metal bands rule now,..and they are popular,..they demand and need airplay in America,..we need real metal radio stations again,..and I don't mean bands like Slipnot,..I am talking about 'real' cheeseball metal here,..it has to have long hair and be cheesey,..thats why i started Supernetcelebrities.Com ,..I wanna help metal come back naturally" HAGINS says that radio stations KROQ, 91 X, and 94.9 do not play fair as they 'only' force feed alternative rock out there daily,..and not diversifying and playing other styles "Its a Liberal democrat thang" says Hagins "these stations know that they can turn guys into dumb wimps if they hear nothing but emo all day and they can turn chicks into dumb ass fickle slut consumers who are stupid,...its all about money and liberalism,..thats why i don't even listen to the radios that much,..they are all unfair and left-wing,..I spend most of my time listening to talk radio,..I listen to Mark levin and the Michael Savage show,...I just think that people who listen to Rap, Hip hop, and R & B are dumb asses,..they are shallow MTV people,...they suck,...they would never defend us" Greenhouse Effect feel that music should and must be more technical, Psychedelic, and demanding "We made great music that was sorta like 'prog rock',..bands like Rush ,.." says Hagins

Lawrence Martyr church,..it was hip in 1988,..it was punk rock,..but when yer kinda a nerd or a loser,...thats just what you wore,..everybody in the South Bay wore them,...Rick Carmody practically perfected the flannel,..we didn't wanna look heavy metal,..our songs were sullen and sad,..we wanted (and succeeded) to form a whole new sound, look, and style,..we were originators,..and I informed ALL the major Labels as far back as 87','THEY' KNOW IT !!-...but nobody believed in it or took me or it seriously,.." says Hagins "When yer a stoner, alcoholic loser in the South Bay, you had a particular demeaner,..."Racers" and "Precarious" were our early statements,....we were inventors" "We're so watched and so popular,..it just tickles our egos" says Guitarist Phil Keegan "I never dreamed that THIS many people would know about my guitar" Clark Hagins began as drummer for the Jim Mellon Quartet in Torrance / Redondo Beach Calif. nearly 30 years ago, playing shows around Hermosa and Redondo beach at places like the Hermosa Saloon, Pier 52, and the Pitcher House as well as where-ever the bands could find a gig. "It was important" says Hagins "It helped me grow as a musician because the crowd was so close at the tiny Saloon,...it sometimes made audience participation almost mandatory,...people would come out of the crowd and join the band and play,.."
