In Matthew Chapter 23, where he called them snakes, he also repeatedly called them hypocrites and Pharisees. Now Jesus said they loved certain positions, one of which is religious leadership positions (Matt 23: 5-12). They are in those positions today. Now one thing a leader longs to have is someone to lead, (i.e. a following). These dirty birds, snake-like creatures, and that is exactly what the bible says they are, have an instinct. But these, like unreasoning animals. Born as creatures of instinct to be captured and killed, reviling where they have no knowledge, will in the destruction of those creatures also be destroyed - 2 Peter 2:11-12 Instinctively they know they must keep people from baptism for the remission of sins. If they do not, they will not have following and if they have no following they have no livelihood for their profession is sheep shearing. You see, they are creatures due to their genetic make-up, who are themselves BLIND. I am not making this up. Jesus taught us this, they are blind guides (Matt 15:14). Now, how does a blind man make a living having people follow him as a guide? It s quite a dilemma. Here you are born blind, yet instinctively desirous of a following, wanting to lead and be a guide. Who would hire a sunglasses wearing, white cane tapping, blind man to guide them? You would have to be crazy or else you yourself would have to be blind, therein lies the answer. They can only lead (i.e. they can only have a following) if the people are blind. They instinctively know this, they are blind guides and blind man guides a blind man they both fall into the pit (Matt 15:14). Therefore, they must keep people from being baptized. Communion (09-21-08_10-04-08) -- IMPRECATORY PRAYER: CURRENT ISSUE: Pray that God would awaken His people, remove the scales from their eyes and free them from their delusions. Multitudes of God's people are caught up in secularism and consumerism. They have bought into satan's lies and delusions, lusting for the pleasures of sin rather than the truth of God's Covenant promises and righteousness. They are consumed with the lusts of the flesh and the glittering illusions of satan's temptations. And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. KJV: And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. - 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 KJV Jeremiah 10:2 KJV declares: Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. Many of our people are dismayed at the signs in the heavens because they have learned the ways of the heathen. They can see the signs of God's righteous judgment, but have not learned of his protecting Covenants of blessing to the righteous. They have practiced the discipline of delusion and formed their gods of wood which will be consumed in fiery judgment. Jeremiah 10:8-9 NAS says: But they are altogether stupid and foolish In their discipline of delusion - their idol is wood! Beaten silver is brought from Tarshish, And gold from Uphaz, The work of a craftsman and of the hands of a goldsmith; Violet and purple are their clothing; Let us pray that Almighty God will remove the spiritual scales of delusion from their eyes, awaken them to truth and righteousness, convict them of their sin and unbelief, and cause them to repent. Surely, judgment is beginning to fall and the return of our King Jesus is immanent. Prayer: Almighty God in heaven hear our cry! We come before you in the righteousness of our Lord and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. Accept our intercession for the lost sheep of the House of Israel. Shatter the crystal ball of delusion that has encapsulated them in the vanities of self and separated them from the truth. Remove the illusions of satan's empty promises from them. Show them their stupidity as they worship gods of their own making. Break the evil spell that has imprisoned them. Snatch them as firebrands from your fiery judgment and cleanse them from their sin. We plead for your grace and mercy to deliver them from eternal damnation. Spare them, Oh God, that your name might be glorified in all the earth. Send intense conviction upon them.
