Greenhouse Effect Mixtape; Greenhouse effect have a new line up in 2008 with Clark Hagins on guitar and vocals and Pro surfer Hagan Kelley on drums. A new setlist of songs is being worked on at rehearsals in Vista California. "So Much Better" the 1992 G.e. hit is sounding great along with "bRANDY"....,.."dON'T wANNA GO" is a new song from the new RE-EDUCATION CD,...as well as "Saw just the other day" - and these new tracks and others are sounding great !

Deep in the 1980's, a couple of 'south bay' musicians plotted their musical history of colliding punk rock with metal with Neil Young with David Bowie and Iggy Pop and the Stooges...the two guys were Rick Carmody and "The Swami" Clark Hagins who used their white trash lifestyles to full advantage in forging their art of alternative rock 'indie' music.....the two would meet up with PHIL FLIPPER KEEGAN - a guy who could play a mean guitar as he brought with him influences like Ritchie Blackmore and Robyn Trower....needless to say, the collision of G.e. was an odd mix indeed,..but the band would create almost instant magic with the 1987 song "RACERS' ..which is now a huge download hit of the internet, Rick Carmody showed at every gig and everywhere he went wearing a flannel, and this band spent their week ends near El Retiro Park getting high and drinking heavily as they discussed life til the wee hours of the 1980's era mornings...most of the partying was done at the Carmody house and in particular "Ted's room" where the instruments were set up by day and the band would imbibe by night....Clark Hagins had a miserable life of bad luck, horrible timing, and all around awkward unwelcome behavior but he and his 'visions' and his insistance 'to be heard' by A n R's in the Hollywood Music Industry of Capital, Geffen , and Sony Records are probobly the earliest roots and beginnings of what would become "The 1990's"; alternative rock, indie, rock, and emo....Hagins was a reject, denied by his own family and he had few friends ,..but in G.e. he found musical comrade - and a goal ; to be among the absolute best !! - EVER !!He spent time in other bands among them Sst records veterens SWA,the Cvb with Joe Groovey dude, the Jim Mellon Quartet, punk band BPS with Greg Hienz,Outlash Control, and many MANY others.....
