Big event this weekend, and we here on the Cow have been running around like gangbusters, procuring last minute items, assigning blame, collecting an incredible amount of generous donations, and generally enjoying the planning and executing of our first 0.05K. You, I am sure, are exhausted with hearing about it. I know Jen is. L il spitfire has been a light in the dark, so if you see her out and about, say thanks to her! Tom has a point, regarding smoking. Let s add up the factors. It will kill you. It makes you stink. It burns holes in things you do no want holes burned in. It costs 6 dollars or so (your mileage may vary) a day. It makes you less productive at work. It makes your weenie droopy. What? It does. Smoking is the leading cause of male impotence, except for maybe watching Mamma Mia. It makes you run shorter, last shorter, kiss shorter, and generally just midget. It s con for babies. You should quit smoking. Seriously. Or Tom Sorrells will kick your ass. In this hour we discussed Orlando s Tweetup, which was a pretty good initial effort, with 100+ attendees crammed into a bar, laughing, talking, and desperately seeking drinks. Thanks again to Etanowitz of the Orlando Sentinel for setting it all up. I am not kidding I met way too many people to list, so I will just randomly toss links at you to enjoy as you listen to this episode: It was nice to see PeakArts again, and he and his lovely significant other (whose blog you can see here with pics) gave me some sweet keychains containing his art. I spent an incredible few moments talking with a very tiny, very energetic momblogger who threatened to make Mickey and I the best latkes every crafted by a mom. We sort of flew the flag on a possible April Tweetup involving The Ravenous Pig. Apparently, according the mmsmddsnjdnhe, if you go there on a special day once a month, they cook an entire pig roast dealio. Do not believe Mickey and his strange, awful fetal pig stories, it sounds like it is a really good time.
