[Yes, I redid this pensieve video - with music! ooh lala!] So I decided to make a pensieve video for a roleplay i'm a part of.. [Yes, I redid this pensieve video - with music! ooh lala!] So I decided to make a pensieve video for a roleplay i'm a part of.. no, this is not a gossip girl video! i'm quite aware that the clips are from gossip girl, except my character for the roleplay im in, is called "Tiffany Lestrange" and ive used pictures of Leighton Meester for my character. The other character featured in this video is Tobias Sharpe, and the pictures used for his character are of Chace Crawford, so it works out nicely, really. So this is definately a Tiffany/Tobias video, it's kind of how they broke up, in a way. So it has Tiffany and Tobias getting... active, during an event at what we're going to say is Hogwarts, in the start, then he hears someone calling him from downstairs, so he completely blows off Tiffany to see why he is being called, and he gets downstairs to find that it was someone from the Quidditch world cup, wondering if he was interested in playing a season in Ireland. Next theres Tiffany talking it over with Tobias, and he eventually decides that he is going to leave, and he breaks up with her. Then the last bit is him drinkin his "firewhiskey" [haha] trying to make himself feel better, because Tiffany is obviously bitter, and anyone from the roleplay, or who has been reading the fanfiction knows what she gets like. And in the end it shows Tiffany remembering being with Tobias, even though she is now convinced she hates him, and then there is Tobias wondering if he made the right decision. Seriously, if you don't understand it, don't randomly flame, please. Author: Tobias Wolff Subjects Discussed: [List forthcoming] EXCERPT FROM SHOW: Correspondent: This idea of first-person narration that is somewhat removed maybe this is more of a classical sense of the short story, in the sense that today, contemporary short stories are, as you point out, more of a gushing therapy session. Maybe that s what we re talking about. Wolff: Well, I don t know. Again, when I think, for example, of Philip Roth s first-person narrators, they are interested in the world at least as much as they are interested in themselves and interested in other people. And that shows up in the narration. It would be a pretty boring story that was so if I could put it this way narcissistically defined if you didn t get a sense of the world beyond the narrator or of other people beyond it. I would think that, unless it was deliberately taking on the pathology of narcissism, it would be a deficiency of the story. Some stories, of course some first-person stories rely on a very heavy colloquial. And that may be something that you re noticing with some of the stories. Like the one I just quoted from, Next Door, is quite colloquial. In other stories, you get the sense that the narrator is telling the story not in the immediate moment of the story, but perhaps from a distance. Which also would give you a wider vision of the circumstances and the people involved. And also perhaps a more articulate voice. A more capacious voice. So it isn t just a Catcher in the Rye, moment-by-moment narration, but something that would open up a little more in the way of Philip Roth or William Trevor. The way their first person stories work. Ses thèses mettent en avant le rôle des processus génétiques contraints comme moteur principal de l'évolution. La sélection naturelle et l'adaptation au milieu ne détiendraient plus le rôle exclusif. Les arguments employés reposent aussi bien sur l'embryologie que sur l'étude des fossiles. Ce nouveau regard permettrait d'introduire la science des systèmes complexes en paléontologie ainsi que la théorie du chaos déterministe qui ne correspond plus à l'approche néo-darwinienne. Ainsi, notre évolution ne serait plus déterminée principalement par la sélection naturelle mais serait inscrite dans nos gènes et ce depuis le début de l'humanité. Tobias Hume (possibly 1569 - April 16, 1645) was an English composer, viol player and soldier. Little is known of his life. Some have suggested that he was born in 1569 because he was admitted to the London Charterhouse in 1629, a pre-requisite to which was being at least 60 years old, though there is no certainty over this. He had made his living as a professional soldier, probably as a mercenary. He was an officer with the Swedish and Russian armies. He was a particular champion of the viol over the then-dominant lute, something which caused John Dowland to publish a rebuttal of Hume's ideas. The artists Gert and Uwe Tobias (German, born Romania, 1973) are twin brothers. Their collaborative work centers on large-scale woodcuts, but also includes typewriter drawings and watercolors, handmade ceramic sculptures, and wooden constructions. They became internationally known with their exhibition at the Museum of Moderna Art MoMA in New York in 2007/2008.

Kunstmuseum Bonn is mounting the first museum exhibition of the twins Gert and Uwe Tobias (*1973) in Germany. The show, put together in collaboration with Kunstverein Heilbronn, provides a survey of the artists work, famous for the large-scale woodcuts. About 100 works are to be on view: drawings, aquarelles, collages and sculptures. A woodcut, especially produced for the exhibit is on display in the lobby of the Kunstmuseum Bonn. In the vtv film the curator Dr. Stefan Gronert talks about the artistic world of Gert and Uwe Tobias. A catalogue will be released by Snoek Verlag Köln, 2008 (end of March) edited by Stefan Gronert and Matthia Löbke. The show runs from March 5 until May 12, 2008.
