It appears as though Telus has sold given my private information (full name, home address, and phone number) to spammers and telemarketers. How do I know Telus is to blame? Two reasons: First, I accidentally gave them the wrong unit number when I signed up for my internet connection. Second, I don t have a land line so they assigned me a fake phone number (technical term is a dry loop I think) when I signed up for their ISP service. That exact fake phone number Telus assigned to me AND the incorrect unit number I gave them (by accident) have appeared on the internet in several places. In other words, unique identifiers that only came from Telus My private information publicly available on CanPages: My private information publicly available on Pipl: Friends of mine who use Telus as their ISP have also had their full names, addresses, and phone numbers published online. So it s not just me I tried contacting some people at Telus about it and never heard back. I sent some tweets and DMs to @Telus. Of course they didn t respond. UPDATE: @Telus responded by telling me someone from the privacy department would contact me. No word from the privacy department yet though. I guess it s no shocker that companies are operating like this. I just feel like selling your customers private information to spammers is about as douchey as you can get. The Telus lawyers have probably buried it somewhere in the privacy policy/EULA/TOS boilerplate that nobody ever reads. Either way it s still nuclear fucking fail. BTW, I ve moved since Telus sold gave my private information away so don t bother sending your love letters to that old address. Also, the phone number is fake UPDATE June 4 2009. I spoke with someone from Telus named Dev . Dev says it was an agent error . Timmy est un jeune adolescent introverti, maladroit et mal dans sa peau. Sous son allure hésitante se cache un esprit brillant. Il collectionne les bonnes notes et passe le plus clair de son temps à réviser. Alors qu’il fait la fierté de sa grand-mère, ses camarades de lycée ne lui reconnaissent pas la moindre qualité. En effet ces derniers ne ratent jamais une occasion de se moquer de lui. Derek, le garçon le plus populaire du village est le premier à faire de Timmy sa tête de turc. Un jour, alors que Timmy passe sur le chemin à proximité de ses bourreaux, Derek et ses amis l’interpellent et lui demandent de s’approcher afin de se livrer à leur habituel jeu de moqueries cruelles. Timmy, qui n’a pas vraiment d’ami, envie secrètement la popularité de Derek et bien qu’intimidé, sa curiosité le pousse à aller à l’encontre du groupe de jeunes. Comme toujours il devient rapidement la cible des railleries les plus basses et alors qu’il se décide à tourner les talons, Derek lui lance un défi. Timmy pourra intégrer la bande à condition qu’il accepte de traverser le « Tube ». L’annonce de ce challenge donne des frissons à l’ensemble du groupe. Jennifer Grassman is a force of nature. This talented singer-songwriter has a gift for fusing diverse elements of classical, Celtic, gothic and rock styles into a beautiful, moving genre all her own. Pretty Girls, Jennifer Grassman's first music video, is a surreal, dark and beautiful homage to women through the centuries and the joys and dangers that their beauty has drawn into their lives. This music video (produced by TLM Productions and Zenfilm) explores the darkness and light in this hauntingly beautiful song. Filmed in and around a 150 year old rural farmhouse outside of Richmond, Texas, Pretty Girls captures dramatic and dangerous moments in the lives of pretty girls past and present. The narrative is intercut with dynamic performance footage of Jennifer Grassman filmed in Studio A of 'The Abbey Road of the South', historic SugarHill Studios, in Houston. The video takes the viewer on an interesting trip through time examining the way social morals affecting women have changed so drastically, yet in a way, haven't changed that much at all. The relationship between men and women of the Victorian age, the 1950's, and the present may all seem radically different, but people, at their very core haven't really changed that much. Fashions change, technologies change, but emotions, desire, and the baser instincts have been the same for many years. All the Pretty Girls past and present are cautioned, and at the same time celebrated, in this video. The award winning team of Executive Producer Merideth Melville and Director W. Ross Wells worked together with Dan Workman and Andrew Amelang of TLM Productions to bring this project to the screen. Pretty Girls was lensed at SugarHill by Cinematographer Wayne Forster and in Richmond by Cinematographer Raul Casares. The production was also made possible by the generous support of Panavision Houston, MC Lighting and Production Services, Gaffers Rolf Eberlein and Troy Webb, Key Grip David Zenteno, and Best Boy Michael Turrin. Still photography and art department services were provided by Everett Taasevigen. The entire show was under the command of Unit Production Manager Jarrod Gullett and First Assistant Director Tracy Jemison, both of Zenfilm. There was a tremendous amount of work done by the artist herself and her talented family, evidence of which is apparent in every scene: art direction, costume design, and properties were all undertaken by the talented Grassman clan.
