Watch all the goals from the England v Andorra World Cup 2010 Qualifier from Wembley (10 June 2009). England hit six goals past Andorra at Wembley to make it seven wins out of seven games in their World Cup qualifying group. A brace a piece for Wayne Rooney and Jermain Defoe along with goals from Frank Lampard and Peter Crouch put Fabio Capello's men ten points clear at the top of Group Six, knowing that a win against second-placed Croatia at Wembley in September will be enough to send them to South Africa next summer.

Arsenal 6-2 Blackburn Fanzone 04.10.2009 10.04.2009 Arsenal produced a thrilling display of attacking football with a 6-2 win over Blackburn Rovers at the Emirates Stadium. Rovers took the lead in the opening minutes through Steven Nzonzi but Tomas Vermaelen scored a great equaliser from outside the area on 17 minutes. David Dunn then gave Blackburn the lead once more but Robin van Persie replied instantly with a great left-foot shot. The Gunners were then rampant and Cesc Fabregas was pulling the strings from midfield - setting up Arshavin on 37 minutes to give Arsenal the lead. Fabregas then bagged a deserved goal in the second half before substitutes Theo Walcott and Nicklas Bendtner completed the rout. Arsene Wenger's young side once again showed their character to recover and record a third successive Premier League victory, a sixth in all competitions, which reduces the deficit on the sides above them and with the benefit of a match in hand. Before kick-off visiting Arsenal legend Thierry Henry was given a warm reception by the Emirates Stadium faithful, the Barcelona forward having admitted he would one day love to return to his old club in some capacity - perhaps even as Wenger's eventual successor. Rovers, though, had not read the script and took the lead on three minutes. Nzonzi got up above Vermaelen and flicked the ball goalwards, which looped over Vito Mannone - the first goal conceded in 359 minutes since the Champions League game in Liege. Belgian Vermaelen then more than made up for his error in judgement when firing Arsenal level on 16 minutes. Referee Peter Walton allowed play to go on despite a foul, and Abou Diaby fed Fabregas on the edge of the Blackburn area. Finish He laid it back into the path of the centre-back, who took a touch inside before slamming the ball into the bottom corner with his left foot to chalk up a fifth goal of an impressive debut season. Paul Robinson made a couple more good saves before Rovers went ahead once more. Franco Di Santo got away down the right, and fed the ball through to Dunn on the other flank whose shot deflected into the net off William Gallas. The lead did not last long though, as in the 33rd minute Van Persie latched onto Fabregas' defence-splitting pass and dispatched a low strike into the far corner. Arsenal maintained their pressure and completed the turnaround on 36 minutes. Fabregas was again the provider, this time playing Arshavin into the left side of the penalty area and the Russian drilled in an angled drive. Blackburn had a strong claim for a penalty at the start of the second half. Dunn dribbled into the box, but despite looking to have been caught by Vermaelen's outstretched leg, the referee waved play on. Fabregas finally got his goal following more patient build-up on 57 minutes. Rosicky hooked a loose ball back along the edge of the Rovers penalty area and it dropped just right for the Arsenal captain, who crashed a half-volley past Robinson. Effort To their credit, Rovers refused to lie down and another determined run from Dunn tested Mannone, the keeper making a parry to beat away the midfielder's shot from 18 yards. Walcott, hoping to make an impression on England manager Fabio Capello, was introduced for the final 22 minutes replacing Rosicky. Rovers hit the woodwork when Vermaelen deflected substitute David Hoilett's shot into the ground onto the post. Diaby drilled an effort just wide following Fabregas' clever backheel, before Walcott marked his return with a goal on 75 minutes when he side-footed home Fabregas' pass following a quick counter by Arshavin. Fabregas was given a standing ovation after he was replaced by Bendtner, who should have scored when clean through on 80 minutes, but shot straight at Robinson. Walcott had another effort scrambled off the line by Gael Givet before Bendtner - fit again after suffering minor injuries in a car crash - smashed in a sixth from 20 yards.

Re-inventing the Wheel - Wheel-less Bicycle

Re-inventing the Wheel - Wheel-less Bicycle

This was just a quick 5 minute Blender sketch to show that blender can do some nice inverse kinematics in a hurry. You can do much more, make it bend in the middle (steering) throw on a few gyros, maybe some speakers, more colors... After all, why should I have all the fun? I made a quick tutorial on how I did this animation. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0I65dJMQUc Description updated. I never thought it would be so popular, so don't give these people a hard time for not reading it, ok? hehehe. This wheel-less bicycle animation was created using Blender 3D for Linux (a really great free, open source program you can download from http://blender.org ). I invented a better leg mechanism, but I don't want to share it until I build it. And that could be a while because I'm broke and going to college, lol. Meanwhile, this leg mechanism was copied (traced) from another video depicting a two dimensional matlab demonstration of Theo Jansen's mechanism. Using a little imagination, I made it into a moving 3D virtual kinetic sculpture. I even made another video showing you how I created this. See below. Theo Jansen's aesthetically pleasing kinetic sculptures can be found at http://strandbeest.com and on YouTube. Just search for Theo Jansen. According to http://www.eurekamagazine.co.uk/article/13685/Walking-structures-are-no-pipe-dream.aspx He has elected not to patent these inventions, which makes him a hero to me. All he asks if you are interested in them is that you purchase his book available on the aforementioned www.strandbeest.com. Feel free to re-create or re-mix this video any way you want. Just include a link to this one. It's open source inventing! Rig it. http://youtube.com/results?search_query=theo+jansen&search=Search My website is http://thenerdshow.com 3-D modeling, graphic design, programming, databases, simulations, testing web site programming, electronic repair, computer repair, data recovery, antivirus, spyware and spam solutions, alternative energy, alternative transportation, computer music The music track is something I recorded in my neighbor's crawl space after my little trailer burnt down back in 2001. It was inspired by The Beatles. It's basically an advertisement for the Red Cross: They bought me new clothes to replace the ones that burnt up in the fire. The CD sat around for a few years gathering dust and I suppose no one will hear it if I don't put it out there so here you go. I know the quality sucks. It was a one-off with zero-budget, just me, my computer and a bad case of smoke inhalation... Changing the world one byte at a time. I make no guarantees about safety or that the vehicle in the video is suitable for any particular purpose, implied or otherwise. If you are a serious investor, I suppose I, or any enterprising young artist, could make something better for you with some actual time spent on it! Change the World Give a dollar to the American Red Cross. They'll give you shelter when all else is lost. [Pay] attention to the man on the street 'cause he might not mention he has nothing to eat. Chorus: We must find a way to make a better world, just you and I. We can change the world. It doesn't take a lot, just you and I. Don't be alarmed but it's a Third World War And even if you're armed there's a battle in store. Progress will cease if we can't get it through our mind that if we're fighting for peace we must be truthful and kind. Don't stay up waiting for the coming messiah. Just give up hating. Know the good from the liar. There is no miracle that can do the job for us. But something lyrical starts with knowing the chorus.
