It is an Episode within the episode, telling us of those who will have come through the Great Tribulation, and have been caught up to Heaven. It is part of the larger Episode, and is ITSELF parenthetical. The previous vision on Earth has told us of those who were slain because they refused to worship the Beast or receive his mark. Those who were for death, had been killed; and those who were to be kept alive, have been kept alive (Revelation 13:10). The worshippers of the Beast received his mark; and these received the mark of the Lamb (Christ) and of His Father in their foreheads.
