George Savalas talks about family, career, and Kojak in an interview 1980, Canadian TV

Telly Savalas was at the height of his 70's "Kojak" TV show fame when he appeared in an hour long television special where he showed off his talents as a smooth Las Vegas entertainer. The opening number is the subject of this video: Telly, looking sharp in a black tuxedo, with a big sign reading "Telly" glowing behind him, heartily belts out his groovy hit song, "Who Loves Ya, Baby?", while a bunch of sexy young ladies dance with him. Also appearing were Barbara Eden, Cloris Leachman, and Diahann Carroll. Other highlights included several comedy sketches: Telly and Diahann's skit on being poor as a kid, Telly visiting a racetrack and expounding on the greatness of the horse races, and Telly concluding the show by singing to his three beloved daughters the song, "The Men in My Little Girl's Life." Overall, this special rates highly as a wonderful slice of vintage 70's TV, and was quite enjoyable.
